    • This will no doubt be linked to paying with Oz PayPal as per usual.

If only they sold Mechanical Keyboards -_-

    • +1

My wallet is pleased that they don't sell Mechanical Keyboards, or other PC Parts.

  • -2

Code does not work I just bought iPad mini case before this deal but have not picked it up yet wonder if can cancel?

  • -1

    Includes apple products?

    • They don't have any Apple products listed. If they did they'd be removed before the promotion.

    • There aren't any apple products on their eBay site unfortunately. This time last year when they had a similar 20% deal, they accidentally posted up an iPhone 6 which I purchased. Was quickly cancelled and refunded. However other Ozbargainers had more luck earlier this year when they posted up the Macbook 12" and Ozbargainers got a ~30% discount off Apple RRP so just keep an eye out on Ozbargain and their eBay page :)

  • +2

warning, you need a drivers license or in date passport for click and collects despite the website only saying photo ID.

    • +11

Not to sound rude, but what other photo ID did you expect? Student card? Work ID?

The forms of Photo ID would be Drivers License, Proof of Age Card or Passport.

Though thanks for the reminder that C&C requires ID :).

      • +1

I tried to use Proof of age card before and they start to move around and rise questions between each other which they end up asking for another id and i used my international license + proof of age. I think the issue is they need an ID number to put at the system and at the paper work, proof of age does not have ID number; at least at WA.

      • +1

It makes no sense but Mount Gravatt (QLD) store manager dose not accept any ID but Australian drivers licence or Australian passport.
They cancelled my order and I lost my previous $50 eBay voucher the other day as I just did not have ether Australian drivers licence or Australian passport! I was even happy to pay the delivery and get it posted to the address included in my invoice but they were rude and not really helpful. I really get annoyed!

    • I used Student ID for a c&c order.

  • no kindle paper whites :(

  • +5

I swear some items I was watching before has gone out of stock? The 'good guys' 'preparing' their sale huh?

EDIT: And they're also in stock on their website… nice

    • Was eyeing the SAMSUNG UA55J6400 at $1788. Came back to check five minutes ago and it's no longer on TGG eBay listings.

      • +1

still there to me. i just brought the same tv, from last week's dick smiths 30% deal, make it down to 13XX

        this one?

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-UA55JU6400W-55-140cm-UHD-…

It is strange though.. can't find it if I use their actual store search, but comes up fine when you search from the main page. Same thing is happening with the Sony TV I'm after

        • Always happen. Not only gg, target eBay too. So have to do more search.

    • -2

If people didn't watch the item on ebay it would probably still be there. The most expensive samsung galaxy has been watched 10 times in the past 24hours and therefore has increased by $200 overnight. If people didn't click "watch" then the good guys wouldn't know what's going to sell like hot cakes today and the item would still be there.

edit: The S6 32gb is more expensive than the 64gb because it has been "watched" more times

  • +1

I cant wait till the party begins. Ive been looking at buying a bar fridge.

  • Remind you guys if you want click and collect from TGG, make sure you order it with the same address on your driving license.

Last time they make it so hard to pick it up.

    • +1

Last time they delivered my phone to the wrong address, and it was never heard from again!

    • Gotta make up your cart now, then when they jack up prices prices tomorrow and your cart has increased exponentially, you know not to buy!

  • So here is the LG 22M37D 22" or LG 22M37D 21.5in 5ms Full HD LED Monitor. I'm confused on this one, both say they are the LG 22M37D, but different specs & size.
GG has it for $178 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LG-22M37D-21-5-FHD-LED-2ms-Monito…

    Mwave $154 - http://www.mwave.com.au/product/lg-22m37d-22-5ms-full-hd-led…

    • -1

LG website says it has 5ms response time and is a 22in monitor. Just sayin.

      • -1

So are you going to buy it? or maybe the $199 one they have?

        Its a tough choice isnt.

        • It's an LG. In my experience, everything that is LG fails.

    • any good deals on monitor?

      • Well, one of these 2 i'm probably going to buy..

        LG 22M37D 21.5" FHD LED 2ms Monitor

        http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LG-24M47VQ-23-6-FHD-LED-Monitor-N…

        • +1

They are only 17 dollars different, get the bigger one

        • @florachan:
          Decided I'm not buying.

I think i'm impulse buying, so, although I'm after a new monitor I would rather do some more research.

          Impulse buy = buy cheap.
          Research = spend more

        • +2

          @boogaloo:

I would stay away from these two monitors because they seem to have TN panels.

I would definitely recommend a VA or an IPS panel instead. There is no good reason to go with a TN panel unless you are after flawless refresh rate for hardcore gaming (and even then, you are still looking at the wrong monitors)

          More information about different panels

This is my current go to monitor at the moment. FHD and VA, though a bit on the smaller side at 21.5", but cheap at $155.

Its worth mentioning that VA panels have better static contrast (~3,000:1) than IPS (~1000:1) which usually make them the go to option of TVs. (I like VAs so I might be bit biased, IPS got good things too :)

          Good luck.
You can pm me if you have any questions, I love helping people to get their perfect monitor/TV/projector. (A passion I can't explain)

        • @Brotality

          Legend. Appreciate the info.

I have an IPS myself but this one would be for someone else. That video is great, the monitor will be used for gaming so i'll do some proper research.

          Thanks for advice.

          Cheers bro.

  • Any ideas if can combine with the Good Guys air con cash back?
    http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/bonus-realcash-air-conditioner…

    • Yes.

Customers must purchase a selected Fujitsu, Kelvinator, LG, Mitsubishi Heavy or Panasonic reverse cycle or cool only air conditioner as listed
below (‘Product’) on sale from Tuesday 6 October 2015 to Monday 19 October 2015 inclusive (“Promotion Period”) from any participating The
Good Guys store, online or from The Good Guys eBay store to be eligible to claim an up to $300 RealCash eftpos Gift Card (“Bonus”).

    • The terms and conditions of that promotion say that eBay purchases are eligible but also says must pay full price so not sure how it would work. Very interested in a split system though so hopefully someone can clarify

    • I don't see why not. The T&C's state purchase " from any participating The Good Guys store, online or from The Good Guys eBay store to be eligible"

      • And they have just omitted ebay from the T&C as of 11pm now
Terms and Conditions: Bonus up to $300 RealCash eftpos Gift Card Promotion: Limit 3,500 bonus offers available nationwide: Applies 06/10/15 – 19/10/15 inclusive ("Promotion Period”). To be eligible to redeem up to $300 RealCash eftpos Gift Card ("Bonus") customers must purchase a selected Fujitsu, Kelvinator, LG, Mitsubishi Heavy or Panasonic or reverse cycle or cool only air conditioner in one completed transaction from a The Good Guys store or online during the Promotion Period. (Refer to full terms and conditions for eligible models and RealCash amounts).

        • So is anyone taking the gamble on this? Do you think if we have a screenshot of the old T&Cs they will honour it?

  • i am looking for TV 65" any tips on UHD, and any one knows about home theater system

    • get one with HDR for good image quality

    • costco have them starting at $2400. 75" starting at $5400

    • +1

Consider a projector instead of a TV above 50". Not as good in full daylight, and usually some installation is required, so not for everyone. But they are both cheaper (W1070 is $950 and 100"), and have a much bigger picture. TVs are great for reality TV, but if you want to watch movies or play games, a projector is often better.

      • I am looking under $1500 UHD tv's seems projector is good idea , how about maintenance and is it good for kids? any idea

        • +1

No Maintenance. Bulb lasts 5 years or more with a few hours a day of use. Just the installation that can be tricky, you have to measure up the room, work out if there's a shelf or something to put it on, or if you need to buy a bracket and hang it from the roof or back wall, and how you're going to get an HDMI cable to it (or if you need to get one of those wireless display systems).

Still, plenty of people mount their TVs to the wall, that can be just as much work, depending on cable situation, wall studs, etc.

          Projector Central is your friend:
          http://www.projectorcentral.com/BenQ-W1070-projection-calcul…

My kids love it. It works fine for normal TV. But films are where the extra size really shines. There's really nothing like watching the newer Disneys and Pixars at 100 inches. Really transports you into the world. It's magic.

Plus, with a $1500 budget, you'd have an extra $550 to go towards a proper home theatre sound system, and that makes a huge difference too.

        • +1

          @mgowen: thanks a lot.

        • +1

Just keep in mind the daylight thing. It's great for movie night, but if you just want to put something on for the kids while you do something else in the same room, it's going to be dim. It won't work well during daytime hours as well, unless you can black out the room. Stray light will wash out the image - if you look at the wall or screen in your viewing room, that's as dark as dark areas of the video can be.

        • @eug: my room is not dark, i have two big windows, :(

        • @eug:

This is true. Though it's not as big a problem now as eug seems to be saying, because even the basic projectors are very bright. You can watch something in the day with curtains drawn, but if it's sunny enough the image will still look a bit "washed out". Unless you have a dark room, it just doesn't look as good as a modern TV in the daytime.

So we have a $200 no-name 32" TV for the kids to watch stuff during the day. Peppa pig doesn't really need to be six feet wide.

  • Link to T&C's, post updated.

    • Thanks.

JSQUARED you had a make over?!

  • S6 32gb to be $623 after discount and 2.5% cash rewards… How to pass that up…

  • This is a very good deal for purchasing printer inks and toners.

    • I was looking at some Canon inks and they are cheaper today via Dick Smiths online sale, then they would be via this 20% off via the GG. YMMV.

    • +4

      People still buy genuine ink?

  • +1

Now it says Max discount $500! >:(

    • Still good but $1000 would of been better :)

  • Are macs excluded from this discount? (they usually are)

    • +1

I don't think any retailer has a 20% margin on apple products. They'd be selling at a loss.

      • But ebay takes the hit, probably just adds it to their marketing expense.

        • So if it adds up to TGG marketing, then they're still taking the hit.

      • +5

Apple really is the king of marketing. Bending over consumers is one thing, but they managed to convince all their distributors to sell their products for them - for practically nothing - and they are tripping over themselves to have the privilege. lol

"Hey fellow CEO, we had to dedicate extra floor space and staff, and had to beef up security, and the margins are so small it doesn't cover overhead, but we secured the Apple contract! yippee!"

  • Any good tv deal? Thanks

  • If I buy something big like a fridge or washer, will they remove my old one when they deliver it, just like they would if I bought it from their bricks and mortar store?

Just offer the blokes that deliver it a six pack.

  • +3

This offer commences at 10.00 (AEDT) on 13 October 2015 and ends at 23.59 (AEDT) on 19 October 2015 (“Offer Period”).

  • Damn no iPads :(

    • +6

Forget iPads, get Samsung Tab S2.

  • +2

Thanks TGG for not being a Dick and raising it up!

    • +2

Don't speak to soon. If they haven't raised prices by the time it starts tomorrow then great.
