Damn ozb, I saw this unit in another post, after 15mins struggling and decided NOT to buy. Then I saw this Kenwood DAB unit……and now I am waiting my wife yelling at me when she receive the mail package….

I'd be suss about buying anything ex-demo that comes with a detachable faceplate, however.
Some of them have fiddly, easy-to-damage fittings, that I wouldn't want Joe Idiot fiddling with before I bought it ;-)

Kenwood doesn't have BT, you need the module. And the JVC doesn't have DAB
Be warned - unit supplied may be different to that ordered!
$106 dual din screen ex-display unit from JB took 2 weeks to arrive. Unpacked - box, fittings & manuals were correct. But the supplied headunit was a far cheaper different brand, missing the DAB+, GPS, & other features :-( Others complained parts were missing from theirs.
I was told to return the unit for "replacement or refund". Only after returning was I told there weren't any working units left for replacement.
An annoying frustrating experience. When I complained, I was told - well you got your refund. After months of complaining, finally received a gift voucher for their stuff ups.
meh, willing to take a punt. If it's not perfect I'll just get a refund.
That was my attitude.
There probably is nothing 'perfect' about ex-display units. Mine looked as if it was hacked out of the display & thrown in wrong box by the least skilled employee.
Others units were DOA, so test before wasting time installing! Some lacked installation guide, but thats easily found.
Does this come with an ISO connector or would that be extra?
Where would you go to get one installed at a reasonable price?
I did mine last time. Never again. Cables were too short to work with and this forced it to be a shitty job that may have caused other electrical faults in my car.
Darn, just got a new JVC radio with bluetooth last week, cost me $50 more than this one and I'm pretty sure this model is better than the one I got… Already installed though so a bit late now.

I think the JVC deal is gone or link broken. Only the kenwood link is active.

The Kenwood DAB+ unit is described as "Bluetooth Ready". Last time I investigated this, bluetooth is an add on modudle…

Just some feedback to even out the negative views in this thread for future reference.
Received mine this morning, tested and works 100%. Original box/manuals, no marks or scratches on the screen, came with 2 remotes, 2 wiring harnesses, 2 microphones. I guess somebody out there is missing these 3 things.
Very happy for the price considering all the features. Would buy jb hifi ex display again based on this experience.
Yep, happy customer here too! Received my JVC this morning. Connected it up on the workbench and everything works perfectly including Bluetooth so yeah absolutely satisfied. Original box, manuals, & packaging, harness, face case & JVC USB Bluetooth adaptor included however I didn't get the Mic or Remote so assuming you also got the JVC your spares are probably mine :) I actually don't need them as I'll be boxing this up to use as a Hifi System Tuner in an area with very poor reception because car head units have far better pulling power than any Hifi component. If you're in Brisbane though I may as well get them off you if you don't need the spares?!
