Options for 12 months Prepaid Service (Cheapest in Australia)

Option 1: You have an amaysim Service and want to get one years worth of recharge (Total Cost $238.80)

This will cost you $19.90 X 12 = $238.80 ( or $226.90 with 5% off wish GC's)

Approach the service desk and ask for the offer. Some attendants will be happy to sell you 12 vouchers and some wont. So be prepared to potentially make a few trips, i find the night staff are more helpful than day staff.
Remember that every recharge will cost you $19.90 ($2 for sim pack and $17.90 for recharge). If you have no use for the multiple $2 sim packs, ask the attendant to use the same one. Then return it so other people can have a chance.
You can apply all the vouchers at once to your amaysim account and it will automatically deduct one every month.

Option 2: Buy 2 months amaysim Unlimited 5GB from Groupon for $29 and 10 months of recharge. (Total cost $225)

This will cost you $29 + $19.90 X 10 = $228 ( or ~ $218 with 5% off wish GC's)

Applying recharge vouchers to your amaysim account

You can apply all the vouchers at once. With this method, the system will deduct one voucher per month (up to the number of vouchers entered).
As far as i know you can enter up to 12 vouchers at once (But please confirm with amaysim customer care if you want to enter more than 12 vouchers)

      You can enter them in your account all in one go, or monthly. If you enter them all in one go, it will deduct one voucher per month until remaining vouchers on account are all used

      With woolies, i think you need to go to service desk for recharges. The discount will be done automatically as long as its one recharge per sim card

      The $2 sim card is just so the system can automatically apply the discount on the amaysim recharge.

      But the amaysim recharge voucher is just a normal recharge voucher and will work on any amaysim unlimited 5GB plan

        Got my 10 $2 sims and recharges from the front desk. The girl was really helpful and I asked if there was a limit and she looked at the piece of paper communicating the deal to staff and it didn't state any limit. Good luck everyone :)

    Hi guys
    Just bought 6 recharge vouchers from woolies but also had to buy 6 x $2 SIMs as well (it only discounted one when I tried to buy multiple vouchers on the same sim). I bought the recharge vouchers at the checkout but the $2 SIM cards are located near the gift cards area.

      Edit: checkout gave me incorrect voucher. Fortunately I caught it as I was applying it. Had the same problem as below. Only refunds $25 as opposed to $27, store had to refund the rest. Voucher expiry also extended to 29/7/16

    Just bought 4, first one activated with android app, the other 3 say invalid voucher number. Tried texting them to 568 but says taking longer than usual to activate?

    Anyone else had any issues?

    Bought 2 sims and 2 vouchers from Melbourne QV woolworths. Bought them at the counter where they sell cigarettes, got charged $21.90 each ($2 sim + $44.90 - $25.00 for the voucher). Told them that it should be $19.90 for the sim and the voucher according to the catalogue. They checked their other screens and it scanned at the correct price. So, they refunded $4.00.

    So, if their system shows $21.90, make sure to bring it to their attention so that they can adjust the price.

    Thanks to easternculture, i have sorted out mobile plan for another 12months for myself, brother in law & wife. Cant wait to get my number ported using the groupon $29 for 2 months. Was so excited, missed out on the Wohoo code in groupon. Loss of ~$5 is not too bad, considering gain of ~$900 amongst 3 of us.

    For those of you still looking for sims/vouchers, there is still plenty left in glen huntly, carnegie, & malvern. Self scan maxed out at 7 in glen huntly. But i was able to get in 2 transactions. Staff did not seem to mind about how many each can buy, even though i asked if there is any limit on the number.

        The supervising staff @ self scan was looking at me in a weird way. Only problem i had was that the machine kept on stating that item was not placed into the bag, the sim pack being too light. Just place it firmly inside the bag or on the steel plate. Or you may have to keep calling the staff few times to authorize it.

          take sim packs from gift card area, scan 7 of them, then click recharge, choose amaysim $45, discount will be applied automatically.

          repeat for more sims

    So I've checked with Amaysim CSR and they've confirmed to me that there is no limit on how many vouchers we are able to load onto the account but to keep the receipts in case. Upon hearing the good news, I went back and bought myself 24 months worth :)

      I also asked Amaysim CSR this morning about the limit of stacking up recharge vouchers. The CSR went away and came back with the advice that there is no limit on how many vouchers could be stacked, however, as they are only valid for 12 months, if you add more than 12 vouchers, any additional vouchers remained after the 12th month would then become expired and of no use.

        Hmm.. seems like there is a clash of information. My Amaysim CSR told me that the there is no limit on how many vouchers we are able to add to the account and also once it is on the account, there is no longer an expiration date. Expiration date only applies prior to applying the voucher. Likewise the CSR also went away and came back after 10 minutes. I guess all I can do now is cross my fingers and hope for the best.

          So guys I have just chat to the amaysim online help and "Mark" has confirmed that there is no expiry on the vouchers once they are loaded onto the system HOWEVER the system will not allow you to load more than 12 aka it will not hold more than 12 at a time.
          I have gotten 6 today which I will load, and then will get another 6 today which I will load. Then, according what amaysim have said, it should be possible to buy another 12, but not load them, untill say 11 months from now, when there should only be 1 left on the system.
          Thoughts?

          I was loading my vouchers on at work until I got distracted by work and had to stop, then I couldn't be sure which ones I had put on so I just entered all of them and for each one it said "success, your voucher has been stacked for future use". Even though I had used some of them previously. So I'd wary whether you've really for 24 months or not…

        Yeah. You'll actually be paying $21.90 cause you'd have to buy the simcard twice. You would do this only if your Woolworths were all sold out or they were otherwise being difficult about it at the service desk.

        I sent a photo of the barcode when EasternCulture asked but quite frankly, scanning barcodes off my phone at self checkout seems like something likely to raise eyebrows…

          the situation here is there are plenty sims in the ww i went(particularly the one at town hall) but self scan does not work. i had to ask the staff to scan for me.

          @jonathonsunshine: I did exactly the same at WW in Neutral Bay (the one on the north side of Military Road) and it worked fine. Problems only started occurring after I paid and started printing out the receipt - the paper roll ran out after 2 of the voucher numbers were printed and it took a lot of faffing around to get the last 2 printed out.

      the two ive been too, Ipswich and Booval (QLD), they seemed completely oblivious. But now I'm just buying them through the self service checkout and reusing the same simcards. Threw away two of em yesterday, wish id kept them. Buying them in lots of 4 now, 6 would have been nice round number.

        we dint have the same luck in Sydney, at least at the ww i shopped around. i tried the town hall ww jyst now. only allowed 1 per customer. at least this Indian(ish) gir was not like the bitches i met yesterday in wynyard ww.

        in total we have only bought 10 vouchers for 2 of us. have to religiously come back again every weekday:(

          The woollies at Cabramatta will do you good if you can supply your own Amaysim sim card barcode. Managed to buy 24 months worth with 2 sim cards from the shelf through self checkout. The self check out at Cabramatta woollies does not need any confirmation or verification from staff either which makes things easier.

      Under 'My Plan & Data' it says how many saved vouchers you have.

      Not sure where else, adding the vouchers again tells me its successful and stacked.
