Was just in target and saw the soundbar listed as $59 on clearance

Checked online and its there for $39 further clearance. But unavailable, so instore only. Unfortunately cant take advantage of the extra 20% online

Target Campbelltown Mall remaining 4 on shelf but is nationwide

Cheap but definitely will help those cheap tinny TV's some people have

Good luck and happy shopping!

Who would pay $200 for a Target branded soundbar/plate.

    • I have absolutely no idea. I have often wondered what the $50 officeworks and other Target home-brand soundbars sound like. Has anyone bought one? Can report?

I've only purchased Philips for my own TV.

same people that connect it to their tv with a $200 hdmi cable

Probably why they are on clearance again … For the price I'm game to give them a shot for the bedroom tv's

    • I got it for the bedroom for for $59. Even that price very happy.
It's not going to compete with the sound at the theatre but it's 10 times better than the TV speakers (using coax BTW.)

  • Note, I don't think it has an HDMI input.

Bit of stretch calling it 2.1 channel, I mean technically its probably got stereo tweeters and a woofer, but the traditional meaning is the drivers are in seperate enclosures.

    • That would be the case with a lot of 2.1, 5.1 and 7.1 soundbars & headsets then.

  • Plenty at miranda nsw

  • About ten in point cook

  • No HDMI or multiple inputs.

    See here for some photos.

Dont know about Target's one, but bought DSE's home brand one (not DSE-branded, some other no name that only DSE sells) - it was $199 on sale for $99 and i got an extra 10% off (this was back in March). Use it for the bedroom TV (cheapy 32" Toshiba that came with my apartment furnishings) and it has done its job quite well. Marked improvement over the TV speakers.

Note that the DSE one does not look like the Target one so take these comments with a grain of salt.

I bought one for 49 dollars a couple of weeks ago. I just use this as an extra speaker to connect via bluetooth. If you are expecting mindblowing performance you will be disappointed but if you just want something flat that you can connect your phone to and play music it is ok.

I am happy with my purchase so far.

  • Target speakers are rubbish and over priced. I have a speaker dock that sounds mono from target last year on clearance, so not worth paying 25 bucks.

  • If anyone's interested, I saw a few of these on sale at Target Parramatta Westfield a few days ago.

  • This speaker is actually good, made with wood body, solid and heavy. Sound quality is good, just wonky Bluetooth. Don't buy it if you want o use Bluetooth with it.

The high, mid and low are really good for $99, for $39 is a real bargain, I doubt any speaker/sound bar can come close for $39.

  • I'm assuming this is the same as the Soniq soundbase, which is $149 at the moment, so this is a comparatively good deal.

The audio quality on the Soniq is very average, though, and I have seen a few issues with the digital audio streams being supported by the device from coax.
