When entering a URL it should block any further posts of the same URL where a non-expired listing already exists for that URL. That shouldn't be too hard to program.
What if someone posts an unpopular deal for a company, when there are some very good bargains still to be posted?
There can be all sorts of unforseen twists and turns when it's an automatic rule.
For the time being, my preference is a guideline approach, then asking Scotty about programmable features once we've had time to see the various results that can happen :)

Current structure doesn't support brochure listings well - could have a new 'Catalogue' type listing where multiple people could sub-list bargains within the brochure each with their own ranking etc. but still limit list submitting to a single non-expired URL.
Leaving as is will turn OzBargain into a brochure site like lasoo but with multiple listings for each brochure = very messy.

To keep this in perspective, at this time of the year there are so many posts, that flooding with Woolies individual items isnt the most efficient way for us to see the bargains. Other quiet times it's probably ok.
Lets see how things go before trying to fix any rule at present
