hard to explain, but this is the only type of beer i will bring back home in large quantities. :)
it's rare to get them this cheap. it's usually around $70/case from woolies even after a discount.
It has a slight fruity taste, not like any normal Aussie larger. It's a cloudy beer and has a full taste.

I have seen it at Dan Murphys a few times advertised for $55/24pk but twice when i've tried to take them to the counter they said the price advertised is only for a 'restaurant pack' whatever the hell that is and they don't have any in stock.. I got it once for $55, but usually they want around $70..
For those that havn't tried it - it has a different taste to Aussie beers, I would recommend trying one before buying a case as I know one person who doesnt like it at all (out of 9 though which is good odds)

absolute quality beer, one of the best in the world. Great price.
Great beer. It's a wheat beer which contains orange peel and cardamon so it has a truly special taste. One of my favourite beers of all time, especially on tap.
This is the best price I've seen for a case. I usually get it from Jim's Cellars (Crows Nest and Hornsby) for $55, which is their regular price, not a limited special. Dan Murphy's at Mona Vale were also doing it for $55 on the weekend I noticed. People are starting to catch on to this beer and it's becoming more widely available and cheaper. Gone are the days when I used to pay $70 - $80 for a case.nothing like a good belgian beer! I might head over there and grab a case! Great deal!
My fave beer =) Picked up a case at Dan Murphys with a price match, just told them it was $49.99 at Mr Liquor and they said ok! Could only get one at my local DM as the rest of them had a best before of Dec 7 09 =/
Love Hoegaarden, I always drink it at the Belgian Beer Cafe. A few nights ago I was at a new Perth pub and was shocked at their price for a pint of Hoegarrden - $19 !!!! All the other beer brands were reasonably priced :-/

Saw this thread yesterday and went to DM today to try out the "would you price match…" trick and picked a case up for $49 flat (and it is in date)!!
They were going to call Mr. Liquor @ Parramatta then couldn't find the number and then said that they would do it anyway.
