  • Great deal, thank you.

  • Thanks Op.
Any good deals on Laminating Pouch?
    Thanks

Best I can find (on eBay) $9.90 for 100 A4 + $7.90 postage for any qty (for best value buy multiples)
If anyone else has a good deal on pouches please share.

      • Thanks Emma.

Think I will go to Coles tmr and buy $30 worth of pouches and get a $1 Telstra SIM in the process :-)

I've bought these before - 125 micron (125x2) and they're significantly more durable than the cheapie 75 micron (75x2) packs that Colesworths/ALDI sell.

I found that the stuff I laminate gets handled/squashed/contorted too much for the 75 micron pouches to handle as they'd crease/get damaged very easily so I had to fork out a little more for the 150 micron pouches. But in the it comes down to how well you treat your laminated pages I suppose. :P

Edit: Didn't realise DSE rate this unit for 80-100 micron pouches when I posted what pouches I use. Something to consider before you purchase the same ones. :o

        • @WorkAround: DS specs says 80-100 micron. Will this machine handle the superior 125-150 micron pouches?

          @alvian:

I don't have a clue sorry. I've got an ALDI rebadge of one of these but they're rated for 125 micron.

Would've thought that 125 micron would be some sort of minimum standard based off my ALDI purchase, but if that DSE unit is actually 80-100 microns then they've found new ways to cut costs. :P

Might be best to give DSE a call, or even have a think about whether 75 micron pouches will be sufficient for your use. For me I found it was better to have more durable laminate displays than having to remake signs every now and again.

  • Is this not an odd size i would have thought a4 would be more common do they have deals on a4

    • Yes A4 is $17.95

      • +1

Officeworks has a better specced A4 laminator for the same price

        • I think I got mine for $10 from OW few months back.

    • +1

I guess you could do A4 in this anyway. I'd personally go for the A3. It's not an uncommon size.

  • Can this do A4 as well?

    • Wondering this as well…surely you could just put the a4 pouch through…anyone confirm?

      • Yes confirmed

  • got one…thanks

    • LOL @ step 5 (buy a laminator)

  • Maybe a better deal if you are happy with only A4? $18
    http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lowell-lami…

  • A3 size laminate machine can be use for A4 size or not?

    • Yes… you just put it through

      • thanks
so A3 machine is worths the more $3

        • The only negative (ignoring size) would be heat time, the A3 takes longer to heat up.

Just so you know, they'll do sizes right down to credit card pouches. I'm just getting this A3 lammy for my daughters 'artwork' (shes a budding 2 1/2yo artist)

  • $21.07 after cashrewards cash back :)

  • Read "dick laminator", need more sleep.

    • Only if 80-100 microns is enough
