ERRRRRM… Has it occurred to anyone else that when these vouchers 'happen', maybe it might be wise/community-minded/prudent/better-for-yourself-in-the-long-run to not use up one of the night's 1000 available to 'book' yourself some food for some 'other day in the future', particularly now that we've pretty much all had our fun with this (remarkably generous) series of DH vouchers?
I mean, the "deferred-delivery-date" bookings do seem to be causing problems for some poor vendors, who are no doubt genuinely a bit confused by the actual concept… seriously/really, it's a 'cute feature', but why would anyone do such a thing unless they had to lock in a certain (quirky) price before a very transient deal expired…
Any 'normal' dude would simply order the stuff on the day they wanted it.So, in the genuine spirit of OzB/ trying to ensure that this (almost literal) 'GRAVY TRAIN' continues to run for as long as possible, may I politely request that peeps consider holding off on using these codes to order food for some other day, then making trouble for DH/the food-joint when it accidentally arrives within an hour or so you actually ordering it?
It might be wise for us to just try and keep it as easy as possible, for the peeps 'cereal-ly' delivering us heavily discounted food?
Just a thought, please feel free to 'flame-on', 'roast me', 'cook-my-goose' etc.…
lf u want their job easier. just call up the restaurant after payment to confirm it is order for next day.
l tried that they don't feel problem at all and alsothank in process to easy their deliveryMy understanding is the restaurant doesn't offer or wear the cost of the discount, Delivery Hero do.
As far as utilising the preorder option that DH provide, the restaurant signed on to the service and that is part of the service. This wave of deals has no doubt been a learning experience for both parties. I'm sure DH will be bolding and increasing the size of the text and/or using some other flag for preorders moving forward given the problems some restaurants have been having reading the fine print.
For those with a guilty conscience, leehungfei's suggestion above is also an easy workaround to this problem

The only place that is worthwhile with these coupons is a pizza place for me. $20 minimum order, free delivery. All the other restaurants have $20-$30 minimum and a delivery charge attached, not tempting at all.
Is it just me or are the options in Sydney CBD really limited? They are all dodgy restaurants which have like ratings of 30-50% on urbanspoon :/ What a shame.

WA is a very large area to cover. Even with delivery fees you can find good deals. Just look by postcode. If you can't find anything just means delivery hero doesn't service your area well enough yet.
