I've got the old version. Wouldn't really recommend it to me honest. I'd recommend spending more for the nespresso range.
The main disadvantage of this is there is no automatic flow regulator, so whenever you put a pod in you always have to eyeball how much water to push through it.

  and the nespresso range tastes better from my couple of samples of the nescafe pods (plus generics available, which isnt the case for these)

    I've got the old model which has the flow regulator i.e. you can control the level of water going down your cup.
    
    That said, I'd rather gone with the Nespresso range. Slightly more $ but you get better quality and capsule range. Now I'm hoping at some point it breaks and I get to buy a new one!
    
    The Nescafe Dolce Gusto, tastes quite bland - even the strong Espresso capsule.
