Great deal,

Thought about getting it last week when it was 1938 at clive peeters. It wasn't on sale with clive peeters - now it is for 1998!

Its listed in Melbourne with some supplier for 1920 still.
It was also 1920 at JB Hifi online last week.

Not a bad price for a top quality brand TV of this size and res.

Be aware of the power consumption of Plasma:
- my Panasonic 50" Plasma consumes more power than every light bulb in my house combined (520w)
- the Samsung 55" LCD I am considering only uses 240w

Less than half as much power… however thats only a saving of $73 / year when used for 4 hours every day (280w x 18c x 4hrs x 365) so not a deal breaker..
