Six Months of Guvera Platinum for $6 (save $65)

My first post here. A pretty good deal considering Spotify Premium is $12 p/m. For those unfamiliar, Guvera is a music streaming service similar to Spotify.

  • The RDIO deal from last year still works, and better longterm value I say. I am on the family plan with that making it even better value.. around $4 for 4 people:

Nice that the Guvera deal does not auto-renew though, no need to remember to cancel it. +1 for that.

  • Can you search for songs and add them to a playlist like spotify and is their database of songs large like spotify?

  • Guess this is good for people who are new to on demand music streaming services, still has a smaller catalogue than its contemporaries (20 mn tracks vs 30mn+).

  • I signed up to the free account to test this, seems good so far and the web interface is very nice.
Pity it doesn't have an airplay feature but i've got around this by using Airfoil, works perfectly streaming from my computer to my speakers.

I'm still undecided if i'm going to sign up for the 6 months deal, although it's only $6 it deters me from using other streamers like Rdio and Spotify.

For a test i went through my 'recently added' list in iTunes and entered them into Guvera, i have 48 albums in my 'recently added' and Guvera found less than half of them. There were some pretty big releases that it doesn't have which is quite surprising. So far i've listened to it nearly an hour and haven't heard an ad yet which is pretty good for a free account.

It would also be amazing if Guvera had a 'similar artists' or 'similar song' feature, sadly it doesn't (not that i've found)
