Anyone tried to price match this one at other place?
Want to buy a feature phone as my spare phone

  • i entered my postcode and it came up with free delivery.

  • I think it has always been that price since it was posted here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/173962

    • Yeah that price ended, it goes up and down every few weeks :)

Not a bad phone for basic use

  • If you are on a tighter budget there is also the Telstra Roamer for $12 http://www.harveynorman.com.au/telstra-roamer-116a-pre-paid-…

Best valued cheapish mobile phone deal is this one at DS for $89 http://www.dicksmith.com.au/prepaid-mobile-phones/vodafone-m…

Crap display on these (not like the old days of Nokia), but hey, cheap way to get a genuine BL-5C battery and charger?

Note that "bonus credit" is next to worthless.

    • Why is it worthless?

Can it be network unlocked? If so, how much does it cost, and where can it be unlocked?

Looking for a cheap 3G phone for my mum on Vodafone (2G+3G reception is excellent where we are, but 2G alone reception can be a bit hit and miss). She wants something with good (better than smartphone) battery life.

This looks like it will do the trick… IF it can be network unlocked!

    • I bought this phone and tried to unlock it but it seems it is impossible. At least I made a profit on ebay with it.

    • It's very hard to unlock a Nokia dumbphone. The price is this cheap because it's heavily carrier subsidised, otherwise this phone usually costs north of $60 ($69 at Dick Smith)

      • Usually with Telstra if you stay with them 6 months or recharge with a certain amount they will unlock it free.

  • Telstra Tempo was $24.50 with $20 Google credit and $10 bonus call is better at least it is a smart phone can do something else.

This likely has better battery life which is important since lots of people would be using this as a backup or emergency phone.

wait it's $19? damn I thought from the title it was $10.
change the title to have the most relevant price first please.
also scrap the "FREE pick up", it never costs to pick up.

    • That's HN's terminology. It is only available for "FREE store pick up".

maybe you just need to learn to read?

  • damn ….bought this $49 at telstra shop 3 weeks ago for mum, good phone but…

  • The Good Guys have it for $39. Price match would bring it down to $15.

Successful today at TGG. Manager wasn't very happy with me paying and then immediately asking for a price beat. I told him if he felt I was wasting his time he should encourage his bosses to change the rules so they price beat up front instead of only price matching. I was happy to wait to save $4.
