Finally paid my 5 x $20 cashbacks as a $100 payment at 5am this morning. Thanks PayPal! Don't know if payment was part of a 'batch' or in response to my firm emails. Hope all eligible participants get their payments soon too.

  • paypal sent me a christmas present of $60 just 3 hrs ago. Merry Christmas paypal!!!

  • I, too, just got my $20 (only did the 1 transaction) this morning. I hadn't contacted PayPal at all, so hopefully this gives hopes to anyone that's worried.

  • Hey hey what do you know… I got my cashback this morning…

  • +1

Finally received mine. Good to see that they actually came through and glad to see the fiasco over and done with.

  • All 4 of my missing cashbacks are in…woot!

  • Got mine too, from a purchase at BetterWorldBooks. The transaction (net of shipping and another coupon) was less than US$50 but more than A$50.

  • Got my cash back in as well.

  • Like a lot of of other people, I finally got my $20 this morning, as below:

    And about time too.

Hopefully someone will be taken out the back, bent over the photocopier and given a good bumburgling for this fiasco.

  • YEP same here $40 for two Dealextreme purchases of under $US50 but over $AUD50 Thanks everyone for all the suggestions - team work in play here!!

While can understand the delay thru someone probably screwing up - Paypal should look at how they inform their staff of issues as we got so many conflicting answers from their call centres - must have cost them a bundle in agro clients, call centre costs and so on.

A simple, yes we messed up, we will fix, may take us a week or so but will be fixed, as some were given (well not the weeks part)

  • Add me to the list of people getting the overdue cashback!

  • Finally got my extra $40 back!!!

  • Got my outstanding two cashbacks for a total of 4.

2 were Deal Extremers for around $47USD and one was a Better World Books that had a refunded book for $51, which shows that postage extras weren't taken into account. Very happy!

When I rang them they said everything should be cashbacked within 60 days of purchase, which in my case came true, so if you still havent received it, there is still hope!

  • Yep, got mine. Better customer service up to this point would have been nice, but it has finally come through, so that's the main thing.

  • Finally.. I also received the cashback this morning.

  • I finally gots my cashback too. I only made one phone call way back on the 7th Dec. Not sure if the phone call had anything to do with it or if the payment was just delayed and would've come through anyways. My purchase was for the PS3 Dualshock controller from dealxtreme and the transaction was US$56 just in case that info helps anyone.

I'll agree with everyone who said that paypal's customer service was pretty crappy (not the actual people, but the policy and organisation from managers etc) but i'm glad to have my cash back.

Hey… technically, it's not "Cash" back if I have to pay $1 to withdraw it. Now i'm just nit picking :P . I'll just leave it in my paypal acct until my next purchase.

  • I finally got my last cashback too woohooo, after few phone calls and emails.

It is really unfortuante that this deal endured many problem when it came to people's cashback. I think what annyoys me more is the lack of understanding and communication from Paypal. I truely believe if it wasnt for people who spent the time contacting paypal, i dont believe they would of paid the 2nd batch payments, I could be wrong. Paypal I hope you now have put new systems in place for future offers, as this was a fantastic offer and allowed me to experience overseas shopping. But was a headache for the cashback….Time to go shopping….hehehehe

  • Funny, I got another $20 cashback, even though I've only made 2 purchases, and i've already got 2x$20 cashbacks on 04/12.

    From today:
"Subject: PayPal Australia Pty Ltd has just sent you $20.00 AUD with PayPal
    Custom Note: AU BFX number 1 promotion 23Oct - 3Nov 2009 (extra)"

    From 04/12:
    "Amount: $40.00 AUD
    Custom note: AU BFX number 1 promotion 23Oct - 3Nov 2009"

    my lucky day lol

  • looks like they did the cash backs for everyone who got in contact with them, i got mine this morning too.

couple of phonecalls to them, but was polite both times… no need for a strongly worded email…

  • i also got my cashback today with focalprice. i didn't send and emails or made any phone calls so i think they've decided to give the cashback to everyone as all the calls and emails are costing them alot of money in the customer service department.

    • Yep, I got my third one for a an $A50 < order < $US50 they didn't send before this morning, I haven't been in contact with them at all.

  • I received my third cashback (the one under 50usd)
    Very happy

    • +1

Same here, better late than never.

  • Recieved my cashback yesterday, great offer hope they do it again :)

  • Yep received the rest of my cashbacks yesterday. =D

  • Received mine too, without the need for phone calls/ emails, albeit later than the 4th Dec.

  • PayPal are a bunch of $#!t$ - took them four legal threats to get their @r$e into gear.

I'm never ever taking up a PayPal "deal" ever again - I have had nothing but hassles in the three times I've dealth with them.

Hope PayPal dies a painful death!!!
