that'd be why… Knoxfield Bunnings is literally across the road from Masters.
This deal is on @ Bunnings, Canterbury Rd, Bayswater too
Just got mine last week at $22.88. This new pricing is thanks to Masters promotion
How long is masters promo in for as its just around corner from me and looking to get one soon any idea when it ends?
29th…anyone know how much to buy a full swap & go? A new empty 9lt bottle is $29 at both,
$29 for the gas cylinder, then add 17.90 for swap.
A related question: Can you sell empty bottles back to any of these stores? I have 4 kg bottle that I do not what anymore.
put it on gumtree. ;-)
to answer my own question. It's $58 @ bunnings for a new swap & go. So it's cheaper to buy one inside & take it out ($46)…cheeky buggas
Is this for a bottle or take your old bottle and swap for other full I think called swap and go?
Not used this system yet but does your bottle have to be empty?and I take its ok to swap an old bottle?i got one free from someone and not used or filled it yet. This is the price for swap as long as you have a bottle, doesnt matter it is empty or anything left. They will swap another one for you.
some hardware shops will also refill… can be cheaper than swap and go.
Does it need to be a Kwik Swap n Go bottle to get a swap and go? How about bottles from other companies of similar service?
You can take in any bottle, even if its tested date has expired. Just make sure you check the condition of the bottles and test dates of the ones you are swapping for. I swapped over a couple of expired bottles about a month ago at bunnings that I couldn't get refilled for some new ones, no questions asked. It's cheaper to do this swap and go than get your bottles re-tested or even refilled these days.
Cheers
they're supposed to check the expiry & not take it if it's has. ALso they're supposed to swap it for a bottle with a similar expiry date. So I suspect you just got lucky!
Yeah, I've never had a problem personally, just swap and go. But I know they rudely hassled my father-in-law one day about the expiry dates. Turns out his bottle was in date, so they gave him a replacement… when he checked that one, it was OUT of date. He had trouble containing his laughter while the incompetent Bunnings employee rushed to get another one.
@omniX32:
When we bought a new one inside & did the swap, they gave us one from 2010…err I want one from this year please.."oh sorry, it doesn't really matter, we don't really check"…I laughed, their t&c says they do. Anyway I got one from this year.Hrm, that's interesting, and what I thought would happen. My bottles had just expired by a month so I thought I'd give Bunnings a shot. It was my first time doing the swap n go at Bunnings so I was pleasantly surprised when the guy just opened the cage and let me select my own bottles. So I assumed that's what always happens.
Guess it just depends on the staff member you get on the day then and how strongly their policy has been enforced by management.
Based on the Orange sale ticket, this deal expires tomorrow (29th) :)
Ps. I am a representative for Sandleford safes and Romak Hardware, who distribute to Bunnings, not a Bunnings employee. I can't offer you any discounts on anything sorry.
