  • Is there a way to avoid the transit insurance? Didn't see it as optional… Maybe I missed something. Came down to about 6.95AUD, so still a great price.

  • Just untick the box at checkout

    • Arch…. So painful buying things using my mobile… Sometimes I miss stuff.

Die Hard Quadrilogy, Dredd 3D, Toy Story 1-3, 300 (Blu-ray) are good price as well.

  • You can avoid it, untick it and click on change qty.

  • Not much difference, but the AUD cost of this is $6.01.

    • The PayPal conversion worked out exactly the same for me

      • Oh okay, I just used Google's converter :D.

  • tThe scene where he climbs the outside of the building in this really messes me up, I cant watch it, moreso than any other scene in any movie. really bad for someone with a fear of heights!

    • Did you know that when they filmed this part, he was only on one of the lower floors of the Burj Khalifa and he had many ropes attached to him. It's amazing what a bit of film editing can do.

      • +4

He was still a good 30 metres above the ground; so if anything does go wrong with the harness, you're still screwed.

The scene where he runs down the side of the Burj Khalifa and where he's dangling with Jeremy Renner holding onto his foot was actually shot around the 123rd floor.

At least Tom Cruise does all of his own stunts though.

        • Wow! I didn't know about the running one. Thanks for sharing that info.

Looks a little higher than 30 metres.

        • True.
I believe that's the vertical running scene they're shooting there.

Actually now that I look at some other YouTube videos, it seems those people filming him doing the swings might be on the 76th floor sky lobby (as opposed to being on the ground), which would mean Tom's probably around the 110th storey or so.

In any case; balls of steel.

  • This deal's ridonculous….

JUST to HIGHLIGHT something in the OP……. the NZ site has 'free shipping' - unlike the Oz site, that requires you to have $A80 in your cart before you get the same offer.

Of course…. all the parcels come from the same HK warehouse !!

    • Nice tip. Thanks.

Good deal, but for the sake of $4 I'd just buy it from my local JBhifi….

The door is to your left. Please hand in your OzBargain membership as you leave.

      :P

      You make me sick.

4 bucks is paying 66% more. Plus petrol, time, sweat, risk of getting hit by bus…

      • +1

On the other hand there's also the risk of the movie getting lost in the post or damaged when buying online. Or when the postie fails to deliver it but sticks a you missed mail card in the letter box having to spend petrol or a bus fare getting to the post office to pick it up.

        • Not sure why I get down voted for pointing out you can buy this for $4 extra at your local JBhifi, which also has 20% off and can be picked up straight away and even returned if wanted. If the $4 really is a stretch, you may want to re-evaluate your life priorities.

        • @andiw:

Some people on ozbargain even whinge about a 10c price difference. Some need to get a life.

  • Cheaper to buy this than to rent. Got one.

Just don't expect to be in a hurry to receive this.

This is how long it takes before it even leaves the warehouse. Just saying potentially give it a few weeks before you receive it.

Expected to ship within 7-10 days

ps. This UK release blu-ray movie will be getting shipped from a Hong Kong warehouse even though it's sold on the WOW HD NZ web site. So don't expect it to be coming from New Zealand because it's on the way from Hong Kong. I know a bit about WOW HD having purchased multiple blu-ray movies from them which most of them (such as the UK release blu-rays) come from Hong Kong. I know this Ghost Protocol blu-ray is the UK release because the picture of the blu-ray case has the UK rating labels on it. Probably why it takes up to 10 days for it to leave the Hong Kong warehouse because it's getting shipped from a UK supplier to the Hong Kong warehouse first before getting on-shipped to the customer.

  • they list this movie on their web in the Drama category? pfft….

  • Got my dispatch notification. Says 4-10 working days for delivery. Would say that's probably shipped from New Zealand.

  • FYI also available with getflix/Netflix combo, if you don't want to wait :-) http://www.moreflicks.com/titles/movies_mission-impossible-g…

    • yep

      • Any avenue of recourse?

        • got the money refunded via paypal

    • Mine was cancelled today too

    • Yep - Also cancelled.
