Spend enough money with the bank and they gift it to you!

        lol tell us your secret?

        No secret.

I joined with Amex through the ACS for a free card. Since then, CBA kept sending me offers with the same conditions, no catch. No fees, plus rewards.

Currently have platinum AMEX and platinum Mastercard with no fees.

But you have to paid ACS fees right? is the card no fees for life?

ACS are not affiliated with AMEX or CBA now, so membership is irrelevant.

Yes, no fees for life. That was the offer they gave me each time they wanted me to switch cards… They said they would honour the conditions under the original ACS cards for as long as I kept the account open…

      • Haha, love that story and that site.

So want to do this. Just doubt any businesses here would accept paper contracts now. Could add text digitally to PDF perhaps?

I was surprised Russia has enough rule of law to side with the truth/little guy given how Putin and his oligarchs run the place.

  • Business\home loan i'm sure!

Personally I loved the 50,000 QFF point deal with ANZ a few months back. It is now 25,000 points now though. Either way, they had no fees for the first year as well.

    • I agree their deal would be better but why not have both! I love netbank 100x more than anz's online banking system. Being able to see pending transactions is so handy I think

      • Yep i got the ANZ one too with 50k QF points and no $425 fee for the first year.

I'm on 3.5 months into the card now and still they are making me wait until the 4th month to give me the 50k points lols… oh well!

        • I just got my points mid November after about the four month wait period. (Well, I think it was 3.5 months but my 12 of the month FF points drop came in earlier so it might depend on when your regular FF point transfers come through).

  • Wish the citibank signature card was still available fee free. I tried to call them the other day but they wouldn't listen

  • It's about time Commbank offered a good CC promotion. This is probably the first time ever I've seen them offer the no annual fee deal (albeit only for a year).

No bonus pts means NO !

  • Yep, no points, no go. And it's only first year free. Could always cancel but not sure how the new credit laws look upon that.

  • What is ACS? You don't pay fees when you have a mortgage with the bank in my experience, but if it's just a credit account then I have had to pay in the past. Which is crazy when you think about it, credit cards is where they make a lot of $$'s!

I don't have a mortgage or any kind of loan with the CBA, although I do have an account and trade through CommSec, but rarely keep any cash in that account…

The only money they make from me are the fees they keep from the merchants for my transactions…

      • Lol you should've done the "Let Me Google That For You" thingy.

  • Anyone who is interested current card owner can still apply and CBA will transfer the current points to your new card.

    • Did you do migration or straight transfer?
