$149 - $10 when using this deal.
The description says model WL-101GCQ but I presume that is a typo and it is WL-101GQC like the Bauhn one from this previous Aldi deal.

Wonder if Dick smith on-sold these to them..
This would only be a bargain to me if <$100
Spend $60 more and get something you can use.

a bit more than 60 bucks difference but at least it wont be a paper weight :-)

Those appear to be Wi-Fi only. 3G tablets that also take a SIM card for mobile data cost considerably more.
@samlor:
I was mainly waring against second rate tablets. Got an elcheapo one here doing its duty as a paperweight.
I use my mobile to tether to portable devices for net access.
@xywolap: Gotcha. I also tether my tablet to my mobile phone's Wi-Fi hotspot but that's not an option for my 60+ yo relative with a non-smart mobile phone. Yeah, I agree about cheap tablets but this one as actually not that bad (see my other comment). Perhaps you can consider re-purposing your tablet e.g. alarm clock, remote control mouse/keyboard, GPS, dashcam. I use an android phone for the last two, with Google maps navigation and a dashcam app.
@samlor:
I already use an old droid phone for a satnav using offline sygic maps.
My old (cheap) 7" tab is pretty much usesless, low ram, slow processor, limited apps because of droid version. I was looking at getting a more usable tab but for now I find my mobile phone does all I want.
I've go too many toys…lol :-) :-) (btw 60+ closer to 70 here)
@xywolap: Nice. Can only hope I'll B as switched on when I get there O-B-1 :-)
@samlor:
He he he… its not all roses this way… still forget heaps.. :-)
I bought a Bauhn branded one from Aldi over a year ago for a 60+ years old relative with no Wi-Fi and modest requirements for email and Internet browsing and it has been working well since with a cheap data SIM plan and no battery issues AFAIK.
A year is a long time for such technology which has marched/moved on but I paid 50% more for it back then and 3G tablet fetch a premium over Wi-Fi only. Not as cheap as the recent $79 3G 9" tablet deal but that was clearance stock and lower specs.
There's often a reason when its just too cheap.
These have some serious issues with battery life. See reviews.
