Did the price of plastic suddenly go up? A couple of months ago these were $6-something. Last year it was $5-something and at 55L.
The Starmaid 52L containers that were on special at Woolies for half price at $7.99 last year is in the current Woolies catalogue for half price at $9.50.
You're right…

This is a $1 price increase since the price earlier this year… Hardly a bargain…
Is this purely an inflation thing, or do you reckon some time soon there will be a better price than this for these tubs?
You can price match Starmaid 52L containers at Masters for 10% off…$8.55.
The 10% off OUTDOOR17 code also worked on them at Woolworths Online…$8.55 again.
I bought twelve (in two lots) for $102.60 all up from WO…which makes two of my 3 x $50 spend to get the $50 gift card.
The Starmaid ones are infinitely better than anything else I have seen…they are tough as hell and have no sharp edges or wheels to snap off. Well worth an extra 57c.
how do you get the $50 gift card may i ask
Everyday Rewards email offer…
Spend $50* or more at Woolworths supermarkets or Woolworths Online^ each week for the 3 weeks below (to receive a $50 gift card).
Appears to be a targeted offer though… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/166219
This is the new regular price. A month ago, they were only 6.98 and I bought a couple. The clips on the lid aren't very good and I needed to bend them a bit to fit for the first use. Didn't really expect much for the price.

I posted about these containers a couple of days ago,https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/166779#comment-2326557
But I didn't think it was worth a separate post as it was the current price.
The one in your link looks Opaque.
