$30 giftcard for 3x$100 spends at Woolworths (in-store or online) with EDR

This deal is available to all, including non-EverydayRewardsCard members who decide to join within the next few days and activate the offer. If it is deemed by a mod to be better suited to a forum post for any reason though, by all means please do move it to there, or instruct me to do so.

The email I received from WW first implies that the basic requirements are:

  1. Activate your offer below by 26 October 2014.
  2. Spend $100 or more this week at Woolworths supermarkets or Woolworths Online.
  3. Scan your Everyday Rewards card each time you shop.

These 'instructions' are followed by:

[Then a big orange 'ACTIVATE OFFER' button]

IMPORTANTLY HOWEVER, after that, there is a flow-chart implying that actually, despite the above text, what is really required to get the $30 free giftcard is 3 spends of over $100, in consecutive weeks. So I think ultimately the deal is a good one if you can meet the spending requirements as part of your normal shopping, but I also feel obliged to mention that the email I received notifying me of it is misleadingly constructed.
I'm very happy to be corrected on any aspect of the deal here, if I've misinterpreted anything.

    I agree that the email from Woolworths is misleading:

    Instructions:

    "Activate your offer below by 26 October 2014."

    "Spend $100 or more this week at Woolworths supermarkets or Woolworths Online^."

    "Scan your Everyday Rewards card each time you shop."

    Someone following these instructions would not receive the $30 bonus! The offer is also a little lame compared to an offer I received from Woolworths last month. Spend 4 x $30 and receive $50 in free groceries. $50 free on a $120 spend, so effectively 41% off if you spend (like I did) exactly $30 each week over 4 weeks.

    Woolworths is going to have to try a little harder than an effective 10% discount (at best) with their latest offer.

      Cool stuff, 4 x $30. Putting things together: assuming selection for some [41%] off was not entirely random. Was yours a newly opened edr a/c, a rarely used one or just for a low monthly spending habit?

      I agree though, can collect around 40% off anytime, without trying: from Aldi (well aside from a few unsubstitutable items).

        This year I was mostly shopping at Coles (no Aldi/Costco/etc here) and rarely scanned my card at Woolworths. They must have been feeling lonely and launched a special offer to get me back in store. Been an Everyday Rewards member since the program started.

        I mostly bought commodity items on special that wouldn't be 40% off at Aldi. Powdered milk, baking ingredients, etc.

        I was all good for this til I found out my boyfriend was getting 3x$50 offer because we never use his card. Sent them an email, no reply yet

    My offer is $100 p/w spend. If it was $50 I might have been tempted away from Coles for the three weeks but meh. Delete.

        Until it translates to a frequent/loyal customer, I believe they would keep showering these offers. Recently finished 25%-for ea$40 x 3wks (rarely exceeding $50) myself, and my equivalent xmas bonus rates only~10%.

    Mine last time was $30 per week for 3 weeks for $50 bonus. This time it's spend $50 per week for $30 gift card.

    Hubby's offer is $100 per week for $100 gift card …. time to stock up on dog food etc. I'll be struggling to spend $100 per week, especially given that they don't include phone recharges.

    I never shop at Woolworths - and got given a 3x$100 shop for a $100 voucher.

    After doing the shop at Woolworths last night, I realised why I shop at Coles. Woolworths Balaclava is the worst! Looks like I'll be finding a new woolworths for the next 2 weeks to get this freebie.
