How does this compare to the Kindle 6"?
Pretty much on par but better in some aspects Like performance and handling plus this also has an sd card slot

My experience with Kobo is they cause a lot more problems (I had to return two within two months then gave up and reverted back to Kindle).
Their advantage comes from being able to hire library books from your local library/university.
The Kobo store now doesn't have the big sales it used to sadly. Coupon codes used to frequently be 50-90% for selected books but now it's reverted back to the 20-35% region.
Personally I'd choose Kindle over Kobo, but I'm picking myself up a Kobo here as the library hire is great for uni research.
They still have sales. I have bought books for 80% off in the last two months.

After it was allocated to a store for shipping TGG called me saying no store in Australia had any new stock only display models and wanted to push a display model on me, did not want a display model so opted for a refund.
Very dissapointing behaviour from TGG.
