MAGIC SIM - Multpile Sim Solutions for Just about Every Phone - 15-20% Discount Codes

11
ELITEDEALGMATEDEALSOCDEAL

My beloved fellow ozbarganiers,,,

I have just received an email from magic-sim.com.au with a September promo:

Magic Sim Elite - Dual sim adapters - 15% Off code: ELITEDEAL
Gmate Plus - Dual active sim cards - 15% off code: GMATEDEAL
SocBlue - upto 3 active sim cards - 20% off code: SOCDEAL

I run a small business with it's own number. I simply don't want to advertise my private number, nor give it to my clients.
So, i initially had bought a Magic Sim dual sim adapter where i could switch between numbers anytime i needed to.
Then i went for a Gmate, this allowed me to have 2 X numbers active at the same time.
And later, i went for a SocBlue, which allows me to have 3 X Active sims (private, work, business)

I have bought off these guys a couple of times and am always more than happy to recommend them to friends & colleagues.
These guys do have a dual/triple sim solution for almost every cell phone out there, including all the newer ones.

It's good to see a multi-sim solution for my needs whilst using the phone i love, as opposed to going for a dual sim cheapee phone.

These guys do provide fantastic support too.

A recap:
MAGICSIM - Elie: allows you to switch between 2 sim cards within your phone (without turning it off)
Gmate: Allows to you have 2X active sim cards.
SocBlue: Allows you to have 3X active sim cards

I can assure everyone out there, from personal experience, that these are high quality products. I have tried others and they were a waste of both time and money.

And they offer free delivery on their Dual sim adapters.

IMPORTANT:
I have worked with these guys to help them with their IT side of things after they've established a distribution Center in Australia. (Magic Sim is a UK company)
I am not a representative of theirs, but happy to answer any questions as far as my knowledge goes. Otherwise, feel free to get intouch with them as they do have a fantastic customer service team that provide very prompt services.

Cool idea. Not something that's for around $45 though. I'd pay probably $10.

  • I think It's a fantastic idea too, I wish they were for $10 :)
Mind you, spending $45 beats spending $350+ for a second phone (a good phone). not to mention, the hassle of carrying 2 X phones.

Why don't you get a DID and forward that to your private number ?

    • Good point mate, but why pay the extra costs?
DID is usually a good idea for a business that runs a toll free number.
Not to mention, there are monthly costs involved with DID.
The other option is going with a VOIP based DID, It's cheaper, but then again you're still paying a monthly fee and you're compromising the call quality.
With the SocBlue, I have 3 different lines and I don't have to pay every time someone calls me.

      • Pennytel DID are yearly I remember it was pretty cheap.

      • +1

and you're compromising the call quality.

        what rubbish…

        • We have run a DID via mynetfone now for many years as our main phone and quality is not and never has been an issue. And it is very cheap to rent and the calls are ultra cheap.

  • price any where would be good.

    get a dual sim phone.

    $5 on ebay

  • IMPORTANT:
I am not a representative of theirs,

Why have your previous deals for them been deleted for sockpuppeting? This is the third time this crud has been posted, hopefully there's another reason to get it pulled.

    • -2

You're right. My deal got pulled in the past.
The reason for that is because i didn't state that i was a "store representative" whilst i was still somehow indirectly involved with them.
      Rookie mistake.
And just curious, why would you wish for my post to be pulled out? "hopefully there's another reason to get it pulled" that's not very nice mate.

  • +2

how can these work ? I'm yet to see a phone that has 'spare' space to fit 2 sims.
How about some real world photos of the adaptor installed

    • -1

I understand where you're coming from mate.
I'll try and find the dual sim adapter that i used before going with the SocBlue,If i do, i'll be more than happy to post it.
The way it works though, With the Galaxy for example:
The adapter stays inside the phone, fits in nicely under the battery cover.

Seriously? Are people incapable of googling these days?

      Here's a schematic:

Here's this "real world photo" you so desire:

And no I'm not affiliated with this company but a quick search on google could save you and the rep the hassle. These things have been around for at least 2 years from what I can see on youtube.

    My experience so far…..

I sent an enquiry three weeks ago, asking if the Elite Micro version suits a Huawei Ascend G526, and asking if there were any current discount codes.

I received a reply within a couple of hours, saying that yes it does, and a 15% discount code.

Duly ordered one, which arrived on the following Friday.

But for the life of me, I can’t get the Magic SIM working with the SIMs that I wish to use with it, which is a combination of Vodafone and Telstra.

I’ve tried three different Vodafone SIMs – no go.

I’ve also tried a TPG and a Dodo SIM (both use the Optus network) – no go, either.

The only SIMs that I can get to work with it are my two Telstra SIMs and my Lidl SIM (German; roams to Telstra in AU), but that’s of little use to me.

    (Yes, my G526 is unlocked.)

I was able to get it to work in an old Nokia 3315, with a bit of careful positioning (it takes a mini SIM), but that's not of much use to me either.

I e-mailed support a week ago, asking if they had any ideas, but all I've received so far is the automated acknowledgement and two e-mails trying to sell me more products! :(

I bought this one for less than $4 and it works on my Huawei G526. http://www.buyincoins.com/item/5510.html#.VCGG7es_5J8

      • Thanks jackofspade.
        Bought 1 for my G526.
        Subtotals: $3.69
        Coupon Code: 2dropper2014
        Coupon Discount: - $0.07
        Shipping Fee: $0.00
        Totals: us$3.62 = au$4.09

      • What SIMs are you using? At around $4, I'm tempted to try it, but the one pictured is identical to the (next-to-useless) $39 one sitting on my desk. So unless there's something different about the chip, I expect I'll just get the same result.

        • +1

Optus and Telstra. Can you describe the problem that you are having?

        • @jackofspade:

As per my comment on 20/9, I can only get it to work with Telstra + Telstra or Telstra + Lidl. (And still no response from Magic SIM support.)

But if yours works with Optus and Telstra, it sounds like it's worth another punt for ~ $4.

FYI: The adapter does not come with any instructions but you can find it on youtube. The only thing to be aware of is that the default setting in the Sim Toolkit app is for the iphone 4s. You need to select Setup and then select iphone4s to disable it otherwise when you switch to Sim2 the mobile reception goes off but never comes back on.

        • @jackofspade:

Thanks for tip. The $4 one arrived today, and works as advertised. :)

Meanwhile, still no word from the mob that sold me one for $39. :(

        • @jackofspade:
Also thanks from me - arrived today. Installed, but still have to work out how to use it. For data, it goes to SIM2, when I want SIM1.

          @brucefromaustralia:

Happy to offer what help I can, if you can explain the problem further. From what you've said, I think you might have misunderstood how it works, but maybe I've just misunderstood the problem.

      Busted!!

At the very end of the description he explains he did some IT work for them but is not an actual representative of theirs.

  • Well, firstly, I gotta commend you on the well spent time in order to conduct some research to protect the Ozbargain community, i have actually 'plussed' your comment.

Maybe you should do a 'whois' on their main site, www.magic-sim.com and you'll see that they're a Global company based in the UK.

I have honestly declared that i did set these guys up with their IT side of things (Including a website)in order to cater for their Australian Distribution center.

It's not really that hard for someone to source products from Taiwan or China.
Keep in mind that you're not comparing apples with apples here considering these guys do have Aussie Stock which you'll receive in a couple of days (as opposed to weeks and weeks) and Back their products with a warranty.

I wish i was the owner of Magic Sim, i would've happily declared so.
I can't see whay you're acting as if am trying to 'hide myself'
It's not like am using fake details on this site or any other. All the details that's been stated are true and correct.

And thanks for showcasing and highlighting my expertise as a Business Development Manager, This is what i do for a job, I help businesses grow.

I have been a member of this website for over two years, an ozbargainer at heart. Am one of you guys who's simply sharing a deal.

      It took just seconds.

Maybe you should do a 'whois' on their main site www. magic-sim .com

You have used a Privacy Protection Firm to hide the owner details of the .com domain.

I wish i was the owner of Magic Sim

You work for 'them'. You may be "an owner". In any case you are dishonest, and 'smarmy'.

  • Rep. I would like to see the physical look of the adapter and what it would look like after installing adapter to iphone. $45 is a lot of money to waste if it destroys the look and size of the phone. Are you able to see this in a shop of your distributors in NSW?
