These prices are quad share so not amazing.

Only cruise with P&O if the idea of a floating RSL appeals to you - Royal Caribbean is a better product and better value IMO.

After proper research I booked 11night cruise with Rhapsody of the Seas, and the experience was awesome. Would go again, again with RC.

      • +2

How much is the RC one?

where is the bargain here. These prices and better are available from any travel agent. Remove from ozbargin.

This is just a travel agent using ozbargin

" Cruises sold by Jet Air Travel. We're a licensed travel agent in Melbourne, Australia."

If you can get prices better than these from other travel agents please link them here, I'd love to purchase for myself.

is it possible to book for one person only (any surcharges)? or have to be 3 people?

    • -5

      Hi there,

Unfortunately the minimum is two people (twin share cabin).

  • i wondered who gave 2 positive votes where the comments above are all negative.

    • -1

It's just they remove negative votes…

    No Deal

well, i googled a few prices for the 22 Oct, 10 nighter from Syd, and couldn't find anything close to OP's 599pp, so I guess I gotta give this a positive vote.
happy to be proven wrong though.

    • Thank you very much. As you've clearly checked, these prices are in fact deals. Not only that particular cruise for 599, but even several of the others listed.

Went on this cruise in 2008 Christmas:
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/7228

Now that was a bargain, Princess diamond to New Zealand 13 nights for $799 during super peak season!
Loved it so much I had high cholesterol upon return (true story :D)

I've also been on the P&O Cruise (Royal Caribbean - New Caledonia/Vanuatu 9 nights $1500 Christmas, peak time but with slight discount)
Awesome time however I find it was a step down from the princess diamond in terms of room service, entertainment (live shows/broadway musical vs cinemas), food in general and quality of rooms (twin vs quad share)

This Deal is ok-ish as its non peak season :\

Cruise's are great, go with princess line if possible!

    • +1 for Princess. Had 5 cruises with them and each one was fantastic in every way. May cost more but you get a lot more for your money and that spells.. bargain.

Ive done princess x2, royal Caribbean, norwegian and most recently carnival spirit. The spirit was not good at all. food was shocking, boat was pretty old and very dated. It was a cheap cruise, but they milked you for every cent. Every other cruise has had room service, spirit you had to pay. They even made me pay for a bandaid when i slipped on their slippery (with no signage) deck.

Definitely recommend paying a bit more and going on a princess cruise. Ive heard celebrity are also meant to be very good

mate, please find good package for royal of caribean ship, it would be better

    • +1

I'll definitely check it out and see what I can find to get back to you guys! Thank you for the feedback :)

  • +2

Ive done both the allure and oasis of the seas, hard coming back and going on another ship now lol they were just unbelievable.

    • Haha both those ships are on my to-do list! I definitely can't imagine going on a P&O after those, would seem like tiny ants haha - Where did your cruise go?

  • OP/Rep:
    1. is there any child fare? have 2 sons under 8yrs old.. be great if there is.
    2. be great to have pics (or link) of the ships+its facilities & highlights of each destination in your site.. just for a sales appeal
    3. J442 trip for quad is priced as "limited", pls elaborate.
    4. How to book this? online/call/walk-in to your office?
    thx.

    • I could only find this pic. Hope this helps. Sure, the ship migt be a bit dated, but I think they have repainted recently.

      • I thought this was the kids' ship?

    • Hi there,

      1) There are children's fares however the actual prices are dependent on the cruise. If you can give me the cruise numbers you are looking at I can find out for you.
      2) Thank you very much for the feedback, we will take it on board, and definitely look to make some changes in the future.
      3) P&O restrict the "discounted fare" for only a certain number of cabins. "Limited" essentially refers to there still being cabins of that nature available on the ship, however, not at the discounted fare.
      4) If you're in Melbourne you can visit us. However, you can call us or do it online, simply email us. We'd require the cruise you're after along with the number of passengers and passenger details (name and date of birth). P&O have also just released that they require full payment upon booking (or at least within the day of booking). I have made an adjustment to the description above.

Thank you and please let me know if you have any other questions.

The last deal these guys posted was removed due to sockpuppeting, read into that what you will.

    • +1

but they may have learned and refrained from sticking their hands into anything this time. Cannot detect anything even remotely sockpuppetry-related this time around.

      • They'd better not have sockpuppets in the kids club…

        • I hope that wasn't a euphemism

  • any "depart" from Mel twin share deals?

    • Hi there,

Unfortunately these sales are only for Sydney and Brisbane departures.

If you have any others questions please don't hesitate to ask.

  • Are P&O still using ships from the 1950s?

    • +2

yeah, but they have been retro-fitted with automatic pumps now so you don't have to inflate them manually anymore. :)

      • Hmm, I'd imagine that they'd at least have upgraded them to diesel engines now, instead of having people below shoveling coal.

        • The different classes of transport were perfectly captured in that documentary called, what was it, ah yes - Titanic!

  • As per my previous comment which has been removed, these prices are quite typical for P&O cruises. And all these prices including so called "best deal" are available from other agents. For instance: http://www.cruiseaway.com.au/special/room-view-free-upgrade-…
