I brought a 5s with this price at that time.
I brought a 5s with this price at that time.
From where? The eBay price was $549 after discount.
If I was in the market for a new phone, I'd spend less and get the 1+1. Or spend a little more for an LG G3, much better alternatives than the 5C.
I've got a OnePlus One. Not got the new OTA update yet but until that arrives and the functionality is reported upon I wouldn't bother with it. Lots of little issues which fanboys are glossing over / ignoring even though customer service have confirmed to me they're looking at fixes to them. I'm talking about BT issues, problems connecting to L2TP VPNs, touch-screen issues, dreadful call quality.
I'm actually also one of the unlucky ones with a dodgy display but that's h/w and would be RMAd if I wanted but I'm not fussed about that aspect. Just the dodgy software.
So yeah, hold fire and see how the s/w pans out first.
Yeah I won't be replacing my current phone anytime soon, I am happy with my HTC One M8. Better than the iphone 5s I tried for a while. QC is a problem with all manufactures when it comes to new devices. I suppose that's the risk you take with grey importing too.
This phone is almost a year old and uses technology from the year, so almost 2 year old technology. 16gb with no expandable memory is actually quite low in storage space considering the OS takes up 2-3gb already. Unless you use cloud or constantly remove content from the phone the storage space can fill up quite quickly.
Love when any iphone deal is posted so many people so quick to point out what they think is a better phone on the market for a similar price.
Yes I'm an iphone "fanboy" :)
It's fanboi
Worth noting that Australia uses the iPhone 5C A1529 and not the A1532.
Our iPhone 5C supports LTE bands -
1 (2100 MHz)
2 (1900 MHz)
3 (1800 MHz)
5 (850 MHz)
7 (2600 MHz)
8 (900 MHz)
20 (800 DD)
38 (TD 2600)
39 (TD 1900)
40 (TD 2300)
While this one (the A1532) supports LTE bands -
1 (2100 MHz)
2 (1900 MHz)
3 (1800 MHz)
4 (AWS)
5 (850 MHz)
8 (900 MHz)
13 (700c MHz)
17 (700b MHz)
19 (800 MHz)
20 (800 DD)
25 (1900 MHz)
I'm not sure which teleco's use which bands but according to the Apple website our country isn't supported by this phone.
It's also worth nothing that the expected announcement date of the iPhone 6 is the 9th of September, so it may be worth waiting even if you want a 5c as prices are likely to drop.
Ebay deal via kogan was 400 aud for 5C 16GB
Given we are close to iPhone 6 announcement … I'd expect price to fall soon
