Outdated CPU and horrible display resolution

    • Yeah i took a quick look at the specs, they're pretty low-end to say the least.

      • Where else can you get a brand new and major brand name 8" quad core tablet with an IPS display, 1gb of ram and 16gb internal storage for $128?. You tell me. Yes the ARM Cortex A7 is a quad core. It also does take a micro SD card for extra storage. Maybe you should have a slightly better look at the specs.

This is the official page from HP for this tablet PC.

        • yeah the GPU is better than the memopad at 99 dollars everyone is rushing in for. but the screen for memopad HD is 1280

        • better off holding off for a cheap Nexus 7 2013

          dont bother with old dreck

          @tonyjzx:

i get what u mean, but some prefer 1 inch bigger.

        • The Acer A1-830 is cheaper last time although not quad core.

        • @edgar28:

ASUS Meopad only has an ordinary LED screen it's not an IPS screen though like the one in the topic?. I was under the impression that IPS displays are superior to an ordinary LED. You're basically comparing a lower quality LED backlight to an IPS.

        • @edgar28:size does matter :)

          For example my girlfriends…

        • In any case i doubt you can currently get a Memopad 7" tablet for $99.

        • @hollykryten:

not saying you can, just saying the HP GPU is better…… but drawing more power.

      • I tried one at JB and they are selling for $198. For $128 it's not bad at all - fairly snappy and you get the external SD. What put me off was the lousy camera otherwise my wallet would have been a bit lighter.

  • I bought the 7" version from Officeworks for $99 a while ago. It does its job although it's a quad core.

  • Is there really no bluetooth?

  • Poor men's iPad mini (gen 1)!!

Well it's good that the poor have access to a tablet pc even if it isn't a really high spec one.
