Coles / Bi-Lo $5 off $100 Spend, NEW Voucher Valid to 29-Sep-2014

740

$5 of when you spend $100 in one shop at Coles/Bi-Lo. As per previous posts, but this new voucher is valid to 29-Sep. Print as many as you like and use as many times as you like.

Saves you having to do the "Tell Coles" survey yourself. Don't need to show your FlyBuys card to use this voucher, but might as well if you have one to earn extra points.

Enjoy!

Just realised my previous one expired yesterday, so I posted this new one, always keep a few in the wallet…

I just got a really wierd idea. I have no idea whether it will work and it will be a month before I can figure it out.

Some of us have received an offer from flybuys which gives us a $100 discount on our shopping.

If you qualify for the offer I've just mentioned, this is the scenario I have in mind.
Step 1. Put just over $105.05 worth of goods through the checkout.
Step 2. Get Tell Coles voucher above scanned.
Step 3. Get Flybuys card scanned.
Step 3. Get checkout staff to bring up the final total and see whether the $100 off your shop and the Tell Coles voucher have stacked.

If this works it gives you $105 worth of free groceries. If you never spend over $100 at Coles, this is an extra $5 worth of free groceries you wouldn't normally get.

My experience is that the Tell Coles voucher triggers once the register value goes over $100 regardless of any other discounts you have. I used to spend over $100 at Coles once a month and used the Tell Coles voucher and other vouchers and they used to stack quite nicely. Maybe they will again.

A few months ago I had to do a transaction of over $100 at Coles. I had done the Tell Coles survey and received my points for it but I was still able to use a $5 Tell Coles voucher in a trasaction where I used my flybuys card so I know you can get the points for the survey and a $5 Tell Coles voucher discount in the same month on the same account.

    • Is the $100 off for one transaction? I got a $50 offer but I have to spend over $100 in a single shop for 4 weeks in a row, so effectively only $12.50 off for each shop over $100, or $17.50 off if stacked with my $5 voucher. Not bad, but Woolies also have been doing $15 voucher for $100 spend lately….will depend where the better specials are I reckon.

      • Not everyone got offered a $100 discount. Some only got the $50 one. The $100 offer I got has to be used in a single transaction.

      • Wow! Spend $400 over 4 weeks! I got a $50 offer but have to spend $30 in a single shop for 4 weeks. And so did my partner. It must be because I don't shop there much and so they gave bigger enticements! Approx effective savings of 29.4%

        • $50 is a pretty good offer for a total spend of $120 over the 4 week period.

My offer was spend $50 over 4 weeks for a $100 voucher. I'll be spending $200 and get a return of $100. My problem is trying to get good value for my $100 spend given this is double my usual weekly spend.

        • My offer was spend $100 per week for 4 weeks to get a $50 voucher.

      • I got $50 for 1 shop each week ($40 +) over a four week period.

        Good deal.

Have been getting $20 vouchers for $80 shops recently. Also good.

      • My offer was spend $50 per week for 4 weeks to get a $100 voucher. I don't know whether it'll be ok if I pay $50 per week for Liquorland.

    • I just reread the terms and conditions on the Tell Coles voucher. It says something along the lines of $100 minimum after savings and discounts. It's possible the Flybuys offer will count as a discount but it is possible that the system will get confused and take off both offers. Remember, the checkout operator doesn't know that you have a $100 offer so they won't think it is unusual if you hand over a Tell Coles voucher after the transaction gets to $105.05.

I used to use the Tell Coles vouchers for transactions that started at just over $100 so I'd only end up paying $95. That's why I'm wondering why they use the term, "minimum $100".

      • Minimum = minimum spend before the discount applies. I'm guessing.

My offer is worse than most I've seen here.

        $50 for spending $110 x 4 weeks.

As chill mentioned above, I've also been abusing some recent offers, spend $80 & get a $20 voucher. I bought 3x Telstra recharge vouchers for $90 (which included triple fly buys points) - I did this twice..

Other than that I rarely shop at Coles and when I do its usually <$50 (which isn't even weekly, maybe once a month).

    • In addition to these steps could you also stack with the weekly voucher, i.e. 750 bonus points/double points? Food for thought (pun intended).

      • +1

The voucher would only work if you spent the voucher target on top of the free groceries. The free money counts as a discount and the weekly vouchers apply after all discounts.

    • Attractive deal.
Any one reckon Coles might re-cycle this $50/$100 offer, just by extend it to Mon 1 Sep - Sun 7 Sep (4 weeks).

Haven't activated 105.05/345.05 discount, thinking maybe 105.05/265.05 may come yet. Also figure I'm due for 20/110.05 shortly, so perhaps I'll wait for that.

  • Pay with gift vouchers purchased on ING 5% rebate wave pay too. gives a further 5% off. Certainly shaping up to be more fun shopping at Coles than Woolies.
Can it be used at Self Serve Checkouts? OR Does it need an operator?

Can it be used at Self Serve Checkouts?

Yes. We have used it in self service but unless you are buying high value items it's a pain to scan a trolley full in such a cramped area.

Awesome OP, thanks. I must say Coles is definitely playing the "snag the savers" game way better than woollies these days… points for any size transaction, "tell Coles" points, this recurring $5 off $100 shop deal. I'm sure they're aware that the bar-codes are being shared around/ not just "used once"; they're probably smart enough to simply turn a blind eye to it, and watch their customer-base grow. I personally used to go to both Coles and Woollies depending on specials etc., but now I don't even bother with woollies. Which is weird, cause I never thought I'd actually develop "loyalty" to a supermarket! LOL

  • Yeah, I blindly go to Coles these days after all the Flybuys promotions and other goodwill measures they've employed. Having said that I'm pretty sure my Coles (Innaloo WA) is overall cheaper than the Woolies as well.

Coles is also closer to the Fruit & Veg shop which is generally cheaper (and probably fresher) than both.

  • Great to keep getting these, thanks OP.

  • Thanks OP. We usually spend $100 every week at Coles. Will use this one. But I never received any of the $50 or $100 offer that many others said they received. Maybe I wasn't lucky.

    • Are you signed up to Flybuys? Those offers are for Flybuys members only.

      • -1

Oh sorry I misread it. Yeah , I am using flybuys and I do get $10 or 1000 points if I spend over 110 or 120.. But never $50 off. I used to regularly do the coles survey when they gave 1000 points, but now it has been cut to 500 points and its not worth the time for $2.5 I believe

  • The offer I got is to spending $50 x 4 weeks and get $50 discount.

Which means I'll have to have transactions worth $50+ for 5 times!!!

I wonder how I can spend that much consistently…….for just a single man/young couple
sometimes it's even hard for me to spend more than just $30

    sigh……

    • +3

I usually stock up on non perishable items that are on special like laundry liquid, toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoo, ant-perspirant etc….gotta play the game to get maximum points/discounts.

      • +1

plus Make sure they are goods on special to compound the savings - dog food (if room in fridge I store bulk amounts there to ensure longevity) Paper towel, razors - always expensive. Meat specials - to freeze.

  • I have been offered to spend $20 x 4 weeks and get $50.

    • That's crazy. We (family of 5) would do $20 in a single "oops I forgot <…>" shop.

      We got $100 x 4 weeks for a $50 voucher.

      Want to swap? ;)

      • I am struggling to find ways to spend the $20 so I don't think I would be able to.

  • Can I use this when buying a Coles gift voucher?

    • "Excludes gift card and tobacco related purchases".

      • +2

Thanks. It also says the offer is not transferable and can be used only once!

        • Should this listing be removed then if it can only be used once?

        • @spa:

In the T&Cs, it states 1 eligible transaction per day

    • +1

I've used it for Visa giftcards.

  • My partner and I use one Flybuys card a lot, and the other infrequently. Hoping to pick up on different offers to frequent shoppers, and infrequent shoppers.

  • Re the $50/100 x 4 promo - I got $140 as my min spend (Tas). My general weekly spend is $110. To get to $140, can I purchase a gift card?

    Advice gratefully rec'd!

    EDIT: Checked T&C's - can't do :-(

  • Thank you :)

  • Damn, got to 70 pluses, was kinda hoping to stay on 69 ;)

  • Just wanna thank you again! I've now used this 7 times!

    • One would think that was worth a vote ;-)
