Just went in to my local Amart Sports to buy my daughter a mouthguard for AFL and went to pay and found out they are all 50% off!
I am not sure when the offer ends and the store staff could not tell me. Great time to get some protective gear for you or the kids!
absolutely, we get a lot of people purchasing these boil and bites and come in and just get one made professionally anyway. just get one done properly from the start and there is no fuss. esp. if your an adult a good mouthguard will last you 3-5 yrs if taken care of.
I agree with getting it done professionally. I only found out today that my daughter wanted to play AFL at school after lunch, so this will do as a quick fix until we can get in to the dentist and have one made.

I box and get punched in the face daily, I just use a cheap mouthguard and I've never had any issues.
I got mine from Kmart and it still had a guarantee for if I had a tooth knocked out.
I bought one of the expensive Shock Doctor ones and I found it to be very thick and uncomfortable, so I went back t my $9 Kmart one.

If you don't have teeth, it doesn't really matter what type you use…
A tooth knocked out is one problem, but what about all the trauma they will suffer by inappropriate spread of pressure. This will often lead to periodotnal (gum) problems in the future as well.
This is what I have seen in people who have not been using their mouth guards appropriately.
Much better off getting them done properly by a dentist…
