You mind telling me how this is not a bargain?

      • -2

        Low specifications
and better tabets to be had for this price range.

        • +2

Not a tablet, a phablet. Pretty tempting for that price.

        • -5

@WantedtosoIdid: No dude it's a tablet. a phablet is the void between around 5" to 7"
samsung galay note 1,2, and 3 is a good example of a phablet.
you also have other phablets such as the Sony Xperia Z Ultra and the htc one max.

        • +2

@holden93: What you're saying is true, but Wantedtosoldid probably classes the device as a "phablet" (as do I) since it has (a) SIM Card Slot(s) which satisfies it as being a "phone + tablet" even though it's size isn't "of the norm" for a phablet.

        • -2

@HcNguyen111: google "what is a phablet"

        • With 3g? Great!
That would be awesome if you could share thanks Holden

Battery isnt good but it does have built in 2G/3G and 5mp camera and GPS.

Id like to know what this Win8 thingy is about…

  • Thanks OP. Was looking for a 7 inch GPS at this price. It got more than what I am looking for.

Anyone know, if Cover/Case available for this Phone/Tablet/Phablet/7 inch GPS?

Pretty much the same specs (100MHz faster, lighter, slightly smaller battery) for USD $86 delivered. This was the very first cheap chinese site I checked, I'm guessing others have similar products.

Does not warrant a neg, tantryl.

I'm not particularly in the market for 3G phone-capable 7inch tab, (otherwise, also correctly described by some above you as a ph-ablet) but on the basis of general observation this is a good price relative to spec and - in detail - also relative to the tab/phab you linked.

Beyond the smaller battery, your linked unit only has 2100MHz 3G.
Deal unit has additional 850MHz support (quite rare in any cheap China-market gear), makes it more suited, in more places, for people using Telstra or Vodafone network SIMS.

Your linked one also seems to be missing at least one other feature (wired video, HDMI-out) and also has completely useless rear - and front - camera resolution.
Waste of time for video Skype, etc.

      Also, out of stock…

Fair call, I missed those differences, my bad. I'd revoke my vote but that's already been taken care of :P

    • Most importantly, the mobile you suggested has 0.3mp for front and rear cameras is a big let down for anyone who would use it as a phone.

      • Yep, that's why I described them as being completely useless.

        • Whoops, i missed that bit :(

  • Be great if China tabs could eventually deliver on a 14" * 1200 p option. My current Phone was (is) 3.5" when I ordered my first 7" form factor tab. GPS I'll agree looks right..3G maybe not so much. Screens are on the up and up…just to add in my 2c for a path toward differentiation.

14"-sized tabs are, of course, Godzilla-ridiculous tablets - otherwise known as 'Grablets'…

      • ..Extend a possible extra couple of inches from ea edge..may not be quite so odd as one imagines. Just envisioning laptop lids, or how a 10.1 size tabs would not stretch reach of the midpoint a 24in monitor- one spends a deal of time in front them anyway. Would be happy to source an affordable ok-ish battery one.

In that size, would almost certainly come bundled with a cheap, poorly-balanced dock, or as a proper, large, and more expensive, convertible touchscreen-notebook.

Either way, and in whatever dock, I think that's where most people would leave their 'grablet' most of the time - only occasionally wrestling with it, 'in the wild'!

        • Hahaha, wrestling. Asus already has a quality 13.3" Transformer. Not cheap though.

        • Oh well yea, haha, so let Samsung's 12.2 and Asus 13.3 lead the way in the meantime— till then I've my low-res i7t haipadto make use of single page views at a time. I'd await a transformer, + LTE for Hangout anyway.

I've not voted however I have had a couple of cheap tablets from focalprice, they tend to have inferior components. The wifi connection will be very weak.

Decent price however I would pay more and buy one with local real reviews. Also if you do buy pay with paypal and lodge a claim if not received in 2 weeks. That way if it doesn't work straight out the box you should get a refund and font have to pay $60 shipping it back to china.

    • Component-quality-wise + build-quality-wise, lots of China brands make for a bit of a crap-shoot.

You pays ya money, you takes ya chances.

Or not. Pay more for name-brand, local source or grey market. Level of risk taken will always depend on your particular motivation.

  • Works out to be $116.58 (free shipping) or $122.07 AUD (alledgedly with express shipping)
Battery is pretty poor for a quad core 7 inch tablet (had enough of poor battery life from chinese tablets).
One thing in its favour is the built in 3G (many/most require you use OTG etc).
Also looks like it has dual sims…..

Anyone work out how they can do express shipping for $5 or so? (4-7 business days)?

Works out to be about the same price….

Even if accurately quoted, battery capacity of this thing is certainly at the 'modest' end of the spectrum, but impression from OzB recently is that most OzBargainers have lithium powerbanks coming out of their ears…

  • -One thing in its favour is the built in 3G (many/most require you use OTG etc).

Not sure what you mean by this. What does 3G have to do with OTG or memory.

This does have a "Card Slot 1 x TF card slot" and also supports OTG.

    • I think you'll find that he's referring to the use of USB modem dongles.

Most cheap China tabs have support for a (limited range) of modem dongles, varying tab to tab and depending on specific internal chipsets in the modems.

That supposed support used to very unreliable. People often found it difficult - even when using a 'compatible' modem model - to find one that really worked properly.
