  • Can anyone find a macbook pro retina for sale?

Why Moto G not available from Kogan eBay!!!!!

    • The Good Guys ebay store has Australian stock Moto G 3G 8 Gig for $239 delivered now. If they keep that price on Sunday you should get it for around $192.20 delivered. Good deal for local stock for people who live without 4G as the new model does not have faster 3G anyway, as long as around 5 Gig local memory is enough. The dual sim on this model can be handy for some people too.

  • Anyone want to recommend some low end (but still usable for office/web) notebooks from the stores involved?
    This DSE Toshiba maybe? http://www.dicksmith.com.au/laptops-notebooks/toshiba-satell…

    • +3

If you get the Toshiba from your link for $479 your getting a decent machine for your money. Just keep in mind that it's only a 14" screen. For some people it is better to get a 15" screen, just depends what your usage will be. Check out MSY too, their regular prices on laptops are usually competitive.

      • Before or after discount? It is currently $599 pre- discount

      • Most cheap laptops include a HDD. Just replace the HDD with a SSD in any computer and it will be super quick for most things.

      • Max $200 discount.

        • per transaction, so the strategy is to add items until go get close to $1000 per transactions

Is it possible to buy now pay Sunday to get the 20% off?

    • -2

Why do you neg me? This has been asked 3 times but still no answer. No reason to neg.

this is nuts! and not even limited to 1 transaction but 5??!

So this dryer http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/5kg-Fisher-Paykel-Dryer-DE50F56E1… $449 less 20% = about $360 and just saw F&P have a $75 cashback on this one so $285

    • I think you have to buy a washer AND dryer together to get that.
      http://promotions.fisherpaykel.com/au/2014/laundry-rebate-of…

    • close, but you need the top loader also:

Purchase a qualifying Fisher & Paykel SmartDrive™ 7kg or 8kg Top Loader PLUS a qualifying Fisher & Paykel AeroSense™ Dryer in a single transaction and receive a $75 rebate

Note: Please note that no rebate will be offered for the purchase of an AeroSense™ Dryer unless it is purchased in conjunction with a qualifying SmartDrive™ 7kg or 8kg Top Loader in a single transaction.

Goodguys has some cheap HDD if they don't raise their prices on Sunday.

    2TB portables
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Western-Digital-WDBU6Y0020BBK-PE-… $138.00
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Seagate-2569011-2TB-Expansion-Por… $138.00

    20% discount makes it $110.40

    4TB Desktop
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Seagate-2397063-4TB-Expansion-Des… $185.00

    20% discount makes it $148.00

All drives are +$5.00 postage. Assume $4 cause shipping also discounted.

For the record, I'm not a fan of Seagates, but with 20% off, they are close to best prices for local stock.

    • That's better than DS's $40/TB deals recently. So tempting

    • Good price for the Seagate 2tb portable. Particularly if your after the a thin 9.5mm drive

    • That's better than Officeworks' $177.

However, would we be able to price match this or does the coupon code void it?

      • Depends on the store. I managed to price match DSE's CDSH20 code at my local officework for the 4TB Seagates.

  • Thinking about getting a Dishwasher & Washing Machine from TGG. Anyone know if you can buy via eBay but collect from a store? I had a look around but couldn't find any details.

    • +2

I bought the LG WD12021D6 washing machine from the last weekend when they had the 15% off sale, and was very impressed with their service. I received a call less than an hour and a half after making the purchase on eBay and asked when I wanted it delivered, and it was set up and working next afternoon. It's done about eight loads since then (we had a backlock of washing while waiting for the old broken one to be repaired/replaced) and has been very good. It is very quiet, and it plays music at the end of each load to let you know it's finished (which can be turned off if it's too annoying).

It's worth emailing TGG (there's a "Questions and answers about this item" section at the bottom of each listing where you can ask a question) to see if it's possible, even if they have to refund you the delivery fee after paying full price. You'd benefit from this, as the delivery fee has the 20% discount, but the refund wouldn't.

If I'd waited another week I could have saved about $30 buying the same thing! But I probably would have had to buy new underwear as I was running out of clean ones.

      • Cheers for that.

I sent them a question earlier today and they've just replied: "Unfortunately pick up isn't available for eBay orders"

Ahh well, I was only after the $400 bottom-of-the-range cheapie junk anyway but 20% would've still been nice :)

      • Thanks for the informative description AND providing the model no. Will come in handy for my washing machine search.

Just letting people know that if you want Dell ProSupport on a desktop/laptop, you'll have to email them to make an auction for you (probably best to do now before Sunday!). Happy bargain hunting :)

So… Can I get 20‰ off on Sunday?

    • +1

only if it is listed on ebay from kogan

    • +1

Only if you can find it in their Ebay store. If it is not there now, ask them to make it available.

    • +1

You might want to be aware of the recall over safety issues.

      https://www.dysonrecall.com/en-AU/Info

      • Yes. I am aware of that. But you can ship it back to dyson to get it repaired and they would pay shopping both ways.

        • Why would you buy something with a known design fault?

    • +3

A normal fan & heater unless you just want something that looks cool.

      • Do you have any recommendation any good heater and cooler that is energy efficient?

        • +1

$435 for a fancy fan but still worried about power efficiency?

    • +1

I'm pretty sure Dyson are the only ones that do the bladeless ones. I got one the other day from Harvey Norman for $485 and it's really good. It heats the room up really fast and I found with my old heater I had to have it close to me or by the time the "air" reached me it was cold. Only complaint is that there's no timer function.

      • Is there some sort of fan in the base that sucks in the air?

    • Same. I'm after a heater for the kids room that doesn't clunk and knock every time it heats up/cools down. Anyone recommend a good alternative?

  • Good for getting a DSLR or Smartphone provided they don't markup the prices.

  • Doesn't Kogan sell the g3

    • Not as yet but must be close considering it releases in HK on the 27th

  • when the time comes, where will the coupon/code be available from? how to get it?

    • Using last week as an example the coupon was on the landing page and published sat night (by error) so I'm betting it will be provided 1st thing Sunday morning

  • Any suggestions for a tablet with lte?

For those who bought the gift cards early and were tracked for 2% cash rebate from last Big Sunday promotion, you can use them to purchase a smart phone or a laptop.

    The savings would add up to 35.75%. Further savings can be achieved if you are able to get a refund of the 9.1% GST component through TRS as well as claim it as tax-deductible expenses;

    • Can i use a good guys gift card to buy from ebay good guys?

The only WiiU game they stock is Call of Duty sigh

  • Can't you just buy what you want now that's listed as buy it now, and then pay for it on Sunday when you get the code? I don't think you need to pay straight away? Correct me. If I'm wrong..

    • I think you'll need to add the coupon code in the process of finalising the eBay side of it (choosing what to buy).
      I hope I am wrong.

Would be nice if Paypal let you add the eBay coupon code during the payment phase.

      • Usually you can pay later and not on checkout..

        • Actually yes, that sounds familiar.

  • Looking at getting a wifi extender(wall plug-in), can anyone recommend any good ones from these

Seriously, I can't find anything I want or need from these retailers.

"Savings" going into my home loan instead.

Pretty silly doing two of these types of promos back to back.
Even sillier announcing this so early. As if anyone is going to buy anything from these stores until Sunday now…
