    • Isn't max only $200 so $1000 purchase?

      • +1

Yea so I have purchased 5 items
        max $200 per transactions.
        5 transaction total max $1000

        • I didn't know MacBook Air so cheap now.

    • You can open another account?

  • I don't think the Dyson dc59 is right for me.. I'm too used to the barrel shaped ones. And considering I don't have a pet and looks like the stick wouldn't be useful with a reasonably big carpeted house (4 bedroom). it would run out of charge etc…right?

If so, whats the best dyson that's barrelled?

    • http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dyson-65005-01-DC37C-Origin-Barre… is the original style - $309 + delivery but there is also Dc54 which comes in Multi floor, allergy and animal versions . I am having a dilemma deciding, leaning towards dc54 animal as I have two cats, it works out around $570. I read some reviews on product review and there are mixed opinions on the animal version, many think it's very hard to empty and is poorly designed in that respect.

    • Having never owned a dyson before I watched this YouTube video which was interesting http://youtu.be/N_87qQqDYgA

  • Noooooo - I wait months and finally decide to buy a recon macair. $300 off what I paid 2 weeks ago. fml. Add that to also buying an LG G2 at the same time…

  • Got Masters to beat Good Guys price by 10% - paid $440-ish for the Dyson DC54 multifloor! Thanks for posting deal :)

    • I'm surprised they did that as the deals are from eBay with coupons, not TGG themselves. I think you got lucky there.

  • Bought the NAVMAN MiVue 388. Hope the wife likes it…

I'm done after a busy, stressful 2 days. Bought too much I think, but I'm also happy with the bargains.

    Bought:
1 x iPad Mini —> swap my old iPad Mini, sell the old one
    1 x MacBook Air 11" —> replace my netbook
    1 x LG G2 32GB —> upgrade my iPhone 4S
    1 x iPhone 5S 16GB —> girlfriend's present
1 x G400s Mouse —> I was too haste and made this purchase as my first, single transaction. I'm kinda glad I did so now it stopped me from impulsely buying more.

I had to write this to rejustify my purchases :D

Thanks to OzBargain, eBay, Kogan and Dick Smith for saving me lots of money, and at the same time poorer!

    • Personally, I would get WD over Seagate. I have the WD 2TB but non-ultra version, which is similar to the ultra version, and it's great.

Both WDs are the same, just different color. I would go with Titanium to be different and also more people bought it:
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Western-Digital-WDBMWV0020BTT-PE-…

    • I would definitely go with WD
      I have both
based on my personal experience, WD is more durable

    what a crazy weekend
should have started changing my browser default page from ozbargain to https://www.moneysmart.gov.au/tools-and-resources/calculator…

  • Apple ipad air on the following link for $500. This should come down to $400 with the discount. Good luck if you are successful. The deal expires at midnight

  • Bought Dyson DC54 Multifloor $437.51 (10% price beat of good guys price at Masters)

  • Thanks OP for this

    • Also to eBay. They're making the loss (or operational expense) on the coupons, though they'll recoup a small amout of that from seller fees, paypal seller fees, and any some interest gained from money withheld by paypal (before the seller collects).

I think eBay has been getting neglected by consumers since Amazon's service has now been far-reaching to more developed-countries.

  • am I right in saying
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GOPRO-Hero3-Silver-Edition-/26151…
    @ $360 - 20% = $288

    So $288 for a GoPro Hero 3+ Silver :)

  • hi, thanks for the deal.roxy store didnt raise their prices and they sell stock at the same price as their website. got a few bargains!

    • lol I went $37 over my $2000 limit (set by myself) thats enough spending for me.

  • I bought http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fujitsu-SET-ASTG18KMCA-C5-0kW-H6-… pity the the discount limit is $200 :(

probably the best buy would be http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Fujitsu-SET-ASTG12KMCA-C3-5kW-H3-…

But heck at least I will get the $200 cash back that will make the fujitsu air cons a steal.

So today I save $385 ish but in reality probably not that much as the instore prices were fairly low today.

  • Started receiving some goodies from the previous 15% deal to keep me distracted. Thank you ozbargain and people.

  • Almost over… just picked up a Logitech Keyboard as my last impulse buy… sigh these past 2 weeks have been a killer for me. Lucky the total of everything I got was under $1000… just picked up a few things I might need in the near future.

Yes, the display of the tab is not as bright as other big name tabs like the ASUS TF Infinity or iPad, but generally sufficient if you read in the shade. It wouldn't be readable under direct sunlight because of the high gloss display.

        • NP. It was about the Asus 10.
          Have it sorted now ;)

I bought 3 Fujitsu 2.5kw Air Con's… cost per unit will amount to $444 after rebates, promos, cashback, price guarantee

As a 5 year veteran of ozbargain, he has been conditioned well and soon to be more.

  • That was quick, my Dick Smith order has already arrived.

        • What did u order from dicksmith small size item or big?

        • Small, external 4tb hard drive.

        • Cheers

        • I'm living in Melbourne too but my order hasn't been shipped! What's wrong with DS?

  • +1

I do have to comment on DSE's pricing. I bought an S5 from them yesterday for $866 - 20%. Great deal for Aussie stock no doubt. Would have purchased from TGG but I decided I wanted a blue one for a few dollars more and TGG had sold out.

Yes there were specials that expired just before this sale i.e. non overlapping deals basically.

However the fact they knock off $20 immediately after the 20% sale is a bit rubbish if you ask me.

Am I happy with my deal - yes. I'm not going to threaten them with ACCC, call my Mum etc but it's the principle. NB: Can't find if they actually did increase the price beforehand.

Edit: I see the ad is still up but code is not working…

    Spent over $3000…2 macbook airs (11" 128gb & 13" 256gb), LG G2 32gb, iPhone 5s 16gb, Dell 15" 5000 Full HD TOUCH i7 laptop. (Missed the iPhone 5c due to cash voucher ran out.)

Kogan did a really really really great job! Dell stole $100 potential eBay cash from me (but it's still alright…)

Very happy had a crazy unforgettable weekend with you guys.

    Hooray Ozbargainers!

    Holy crap…my bank balance…

    • +4

I agree on Kogan. They actually made it possible for people to get the absolute most out of this, with bargains we should not expect to see again on products which are rarely discounted by much as it is.
Very disappointed in Dell and DS for inflating their prices. Still good deals to be had, but it's wrong in principle.

  • Still waiting on one of my TGG orders, no contact at all so far :-(. The other was delivered this morning, well they tried to but I never heard the bell so it's at the local PO for collection.

  • 2 shoes and a new rashie :) super happy

  • Disappointing outcome- TGG cancelled my order as out of stock.

    • What did you order? I had no problem with my order, actually picked it up yesterday and got a cash refund on the delivery fee. I ordered a Dyson DC54 Animal.

    • Contact the good guys about this, they may be able to source it from another store. Really crappy of them to cancel the order.

  • For anyone missing the full 2% cashback from CashRewards

Contact them and they should fix it up, I got mine fixed up 2 hours after I emailed.

    https://www.cashrewards.com.au/contact

They told me: "Our apologies, eBay has reported some transactions at lower rates"

The full 2% now shows for those. Very good service

    • What did you buy?
Mine's giftcards so I don't want them to reverse the cashback on that :p

      • I bought gift cards :)

I didn't mention that obviously. It's strange they initially gave some 0.9%, you would think it would be 2% or nothing. Anyway got the full 2% now.

    • Thanks, I have contacted them too as there's nothing showing at all in my a/c.

  • How come I don't get a receipt from TGG?

I dont know whether to write ebay price or asking price on warranty registration.

    • You should have got a Receipt/Tax invoice with the product when it was delivered or picked up from TGG showing the full sales amount and shipping before discount.

      • Yes, mine came in the box the product was packed in and shows full amounts before any discounts.

    • DSE email the tax invoice as an attachment. Maybe TGG do the same but either way it will be there somewhere.

The sell price should be the full price. Effectively ebay is subsidising the pricing like having a voucher so you still paid full price. That's how the DSE receipt looks at least. i.e. you'd get the GST back on the full amount even.

  • Anyone having issues with their DSE orders? I placed 2 orders for the WeMo Light Switch. One order for 4x light switches on Sunday morning and another oder just after midnight on Monday for 1x light switch.

I got an e-mail on Monday afternoon notifying me that the second order containing the 1x light switch has been shipped and another e-mail containing the invoice for the second order (the attached receipt was corrupt too…)

I still haven't received any notification for my first order as of today. A bit worried about this since I need to have these switches installed Monday June 14.

Any other way to contact DSE in regards to eBay orders apart from messaging them on eBay?

    • Try (Do Not) contacting their online purchase Cust service number.
      It's a joke!
      Phone rings outs
      Phone auto disconnects
If you call customer complaints they'll tell you coz it's online order they can't do much.
      What the ?
How do these Half wits score a job at the first place?
      End of rant.

    • Bit late for June 14… :P

    • Yea bit late for June 14 unless u mean the 2014 :P
Seriously don't bother eBay messaging they haven't ever responded to my eBay messages.
Try twitter or Facebook (public post) that usually gets some traction and attention.

      • Meant July 14. That's what I get for posting in a hurry. lol

  • They have shipped the order which I cancelled, and the order which has gone through they have no clue about it.
    Hilarious.

  • I ordered a Dyson Tangle Free Turbine Tool from TGG which I picked up from the PO today. I just noticed on the box it says "Fits all models from DC19 onwards except DC24 and cordless models". Does this mean it won't fit my DC59 stick vacuum? I haven't received that yet so can't check for myself, would like to know before cracking the seal on the box.

    • Ring Dyson… I rang on a weekend and the Dyson rep was marvellous helping me with my issue with a stick vacuum whether it would fit my non stick vacuum.

      • Bugger! They told me it won't work as the stick vacuums don't have sufficient suction to power it, they really need the motorised tools. Now I'm going to have to return it for a refund so I've just wasted $5 postage and my petrol money to drive to the store and back. What's even more annoying is that I only ordered the DC59 non-animal as the animal version had gone out of stock, they later put it back up. Dyson did offer me 30% off a new Dyson though as I have an old DC02 which they no longer have parts for.

        • Yeah 30% off their RRP though. That is what they offered me as well. I currently have a DC08 and a DC44. Been great except the DC44 with the motorised head -_- the amount of hair tangling that is amazing. Always need to take it apart to cut out the hair that is in there.

        • Yeah, that's the sad part as Dyson's RRP is higher than street price. Still my DC02 is shagged after I let tradies use it and they sucked up plaster dust with it, now it overheats and cuts out. I'd be tempted if I didn't already have a perfectly good Miele Cat & Dog Max as my mains powered vac.

Checked TGG's listing for the attachment and it doesn't mention it won't work with the stick vacuums, wouldn't have ordered it if it had.

        • Rather that get a refund, you should be able to exchange so retain the 20% benefit.

        • Exchange for what though? They don't seem to have the mini motorised tool listed for sale as a seperete item if that's what you meant. Might try calling Customer Care again, see if I can get a similar deal on the DC59 Animal model instead, problem solved then.

        • I meant exchange the DC59 non animal you ordered plus tool for credit towards the DC59 animal.

        • Ah OK, that makes sense.

  • Got the DC59 animal stick $548 and 4TB Seagate $185 from TGG.
Does TGG price guarantee apply to Ebay sales and are there any cheaper deals out there?

Got the Paypal 20% but that should'nt affect the price guarantee.

What's the chance of a double dip?

    • +1

"Our “30 Day Price Guarantee” does not apply to Boxing Day ‘Knockout’ prices, advertising errors or misprints, cash backs & discounts offered by a supplier or another third party, bonus offers, limited or minimum quantity offers, clearance, finance offers and items sold on marketplace websites such as Ebay."

      http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/buyonline/content/Price_Guaran…

      • OK , so no Ebay.

Good to know for future purchases as well.

  • umm hard drives from dse has still not been shipped.

  • Any idea what will be on this Sunday?

    • yes, sort of, along the line of "the discount will only be available to selected buyers, chosen randomly".

that's as much news as I could get from ebay….

keep an eye on the emails folks

      • +3

Oh God! Please don't choose me.

  • Good luck anybody who wants a refund from TGG, store I spoke to said no refunds on goods purchased from the eBay sale unless they are faulty because of the 20% discount. They wouldn't even say yes to an exchange. I had to get the Customer Care team involved before they finally agreed and even then it was only if the package was unopened. I was told by the store that they've been given explicit instructions not to give any refunds or exchanges on items purchased from the weekend deal and the system won't allow them to do it yet Customer Care said they could. Pretty poor tactic from the store just to avoid some extra paperwork.

    • Unless the item was faulty or not as described, even if you bought it instore, they dont have to offer you a refund/exchange for change of mind…

      • +1

It's not change of mind, the item isn't suitable for my model and the listing didn't state that it only fits certain models.

Oh, and nowhere on the sale conditions did it state "no returns".

        • LOL

          1) You expect a sale listing to state everything it doesn't work with?

          2) It doesn't have to state "no returns". They don't have to accept exchanges or refunds unless the goods are faulty or do not work as described.

        • 1) When it is an accessory for a specific brand and type of product then yes I do, I shouldn't have to find it on the fine print on the box after the item is delivered.

          2) Actually, failing to accurately describe the goods is grounds for a refund. And in any case I was originally only seeking an exchange but they weren't even happy to do that. I don't see what the big issue is when they get paid the full money by eBay anyway.

        • @fido666:
          Yeah nah

So any attachment for a "Dyson vacuum" should "just work" with whatever Dyson vacuum that you have?

What was wrong in the description? You didn't do your research.

They don't have to exchange either although it may be good business practice to do so.

        • @Shonky:

What was wrong with the description? That's just it, there was no description, just the listing title. I went off the recommendation of a fellow OzBargainer who had tested the products in-store, I assumed the 2 items would work together based on that.

And I know they don't have to exchange but when you've just spent over $500 with them it would be nice if they did. I work in retail but I guess I work for one of the nice retailers who believes in keeping the customer happy in the hope of increased sales to that customer in the future. It's not like I've ripped open the box and marked/damaged the product, it can go straight back on the shelf.

Enough said, I was just trying to alert others they may have issues if they tried to return a sale item to TGG.
