Have it. Piece of garbage due to low end componentry. Touch screen died in a week. Repaired one didn't fare better. Now lying in my drawer collectng dust. Read reviews and you'll know what I mean. The Asus one @ Myer would surely be better…

    • Have it. Using it every day since the last deal and it works perfectly. The only let-down is the screen resolution.

However, Asus > Acer at any time.

    • Acer is a junk brand, your experience is nothing out of the ordinary.

The ASUS 10.1" Memo Pad is a better buy atm.

Agree, the Asus is a much better device:

The only negative with the Asus, is the x86 based Atom chip it uses.

There will always be some applications that are written specifically for ARM chips, which will not run on the Asus.

Much like the difference between the MS Surface RT (ARM), vs. the Surface Pro (Atom/i5 x86).

Have you found any apps that won't run on the atom? Just wondering how common the problem comes up.

  • Bought this the last time it was $199. It's OK. I wouldn't pay more than this for it.

An option if you can't get the Myer ASUS 10.1 Memo Pad deal.

    • Yes, I have this tablet and only worth it if you can get for 200$ and that is if you cant get Asus one HD or even the non HD. I also have a 2 year old asus tf300t which i feel has better picture and sound than this tablet. The good points about this tablet are that it has very good battery life and can be charged using any microusb charger.
