It definitely does look like a decent little unit however the nice THD spec of 0.04% between 20Hz & 20KHz is measured at 8W output. At 20W per channel and only a 1KHz the THD is a whopping 10% which indicates it's a run-of-the-mill Class-D Amp.
Absolutely nothing wrong with that and 8-10W (per channel) of beautiful squeaky-clean sound is probably all most people would really need but it is sad to see Yamaha stooping to use sneaky misleading tricks in their specs now too :( Specs are only specs though and all audio gear should be auditioned before purchasing because what sounds awful to some can sound amazing to others.
This little system punches WAY above it's weight. Anyone in the area pop in for a listen and I'm sure you will be blown away.
I'm impressed by the use of binding post terminals and a subwoofer output line.
Seems high-end indeed. Not to mention reviews are glowing. If I wasn't so broke I'd definitely get this.

40W. 20W per channel. Stated THD is 0.04% and speaker impedance is 6 ohms. Impressive. Speakers have a nice reflex woofer/tweeter combo.
