I've had my Miele big Cat and dog vacuum for almost 10 yrs and it's still going strong but have been wanting to get another smaller Miele just for upstairs and came across this one. This one seems to be the top of the range model in their compact range and it has both the hard floor brush and turbo brush. The next cheapest price for this model I've found is from Miele online shop on sale for $449. Delivery seems to be a flat rate of $5 to most areas. And this one is made in Germany!

  Having used both Dyson and Miele now, the Miele wins hands down. Sturdier, quieter, and more powerful. Dyson is very much a textbook exercise in branding - their products are decent but not that great and definitely overpriced IMO

    Dyson is a gadget. Their sales strategy is on par with Apple.

    Btw Miele heads work with Bosch vacs as well right?

  This one looks good for me but the only issue is, Miele use dust bag that needs to replace, how's your experience with this one, thanks.

  I love my Miele. All reports from people who used Miele and got sucked into Dyson when upgrading is that they regret it.
  The Miele bags are mess free. They are must awesome. I have heard you spend half your life emptying the cannister know the bag less Dyson and changing filters.

  My Miele is named Milly and is part of my family… haha. The only one who doesn't make a mess.

    Quality wise they're similiar, the one from HN has a larger capacity (4.5L) and the S6230 only 3.5L, but the S6230 has a HEPA filter, hard floor brush and a swivel handle:
