Out of curiousity, why vacuum with dyson first instead of just mopping with the Tineco?
My floors are super dusty. Vacuuming removes all the dust, ready for mopping. With how black the water is in the collection container, I can only imagine how dirty it would be without vacuuming first!
Also, less solid material in the Tineco mopper = less to fill the filters and roller.
I think @noone meant can’t you just use the tineco to vac and mop in one instead of using Dyson first. I’m also interested to know. Is the vac function on Tineco no good?
@J B S: Not sure about Tineco's vaccuming ability, but
1. Tineco has smaller cannister volume where vacuumed 'gunk' collects, as opposed to a dyson cannister.
2. You want to vaccum into a bone-dry receptable, or it turns into gross muck
3. You would use some of the battery vacuuming, then there will be less power left for mopping. You'll need to recharge it sooner.
4. Dyson much smaller and lighter for vacuuming alone.Works out for me :
- use Dyson while Tineco is on the charger
- swap over : use Tineco while Dyson rechargingA lot of youtube reviews seem to use their Tineco while mopping up a whole bowel of spilled pasta on the floor. I don't know who does that. I'd clean the solid bits up with a paper towel (rather than clog my Tineco with pasta), then use the Tineco mopper for the leftover liquid stuff.
Wasn't this the brand that was transmitting data to China?
What on Earth would a mop transmit to China? The temperature Westerners wash their floors at?
Err if it's connected to your network and you've got other unsecured IOT devices there's potential there for it to sniff your other devices and access whatever's on them.
Now if that's a likely thing to happen, I very much doubt it.
I think it's most likely just boring telemetry on your average battery and water use so they can shrinkflate future devices to those capacities.
Data like how dirty your floor is? Lol
It also transmitting your bank balance to China. lol
@Junjun are you associated?
Does anyone know if the s7 pro available in Australia? JB and Harvey sell the s7 but doesn't say it's the pro.
But now this is on sale. May consider this one

Currently $868.97 on Amazon
Bought from Amazon for $868.98, about a month ago. They seem to go on sale every month or so. Worth keeping an eye out for it.
BTW - I love it!
I use it purely for the mopping function, on polished concrete.
Vaccum with the dyson, then use the Tineco with just with water, no cleaning solution. So quick and easy.
