I thought the standard price for this battery tester is a dollar.

    • edit: nvm!

    • Hi, they are different anyway. Our product has LCD screen and you can test and read the volt. And the deal you say, you can't do this, only a general look at volt of the battery.

      • The code is not working !!!“oops, you miss the chance; the code was used up”

not worth any more than a $1 to me.

  • No box to enter coupon when using PayPal. Logged into PayPal and presented with a "continue" button to proceed with payment and back to seller website.

After it takes you back to the website, you'll find the box right before you click confirm

I was apprehensive on clicking "continue" for fear that actually confirms payment of the original amount. So "continue" doesn't mean "Pay"?

        • No.. I just did it myself and wasn't ripped off

        • Same here

    • If you click "Proceed to Checkout" instead of "Checkout with Paypal" you get to another screen where you can enter the code and then checkout with Paypal.

  • Just posting to say that these are a great unit. They load the battery slightly which means you get a sensible reading from them.

The only thing that I don't like is testing button cells, as they are incredibly hard to "grasp" between the jaws (especially 2025 and 2035 since they are so thin). That's not really a big deal, since the jaws make testing AAA and AA really easy and that is more common anyway.

  • Thanks, just grabbed one! I often tested my batteries using the multimeter. Hope this nifty thing works :)

  • Thanks just bought one..

  • Does something like this exist for li ion batteries, or just go with a DMM?

    • I'd like to find something like that too. This one looks like it should work with 18650's etc as long as they fit. Flat top cells look like they could be a problem though.

Using a voltmeter is a bit annoying and fiddly, though obviously effective.

  • Great thanks! Grabbed one.

  • Anyone know if you can test 18650 batteries in this thing?

It looks like it might not play well with flat-top batteries without some modification.

    • +1

based on the specification, I'd say no. (Suitable for All 1.5V & 9V Batteries)

      • I think they should measure okay, but I'm mainly worried about 18650's being too long to fit in the 'clamp' (as well as possible problems with flat-top batts).

It looks like they'll probably fit though.

Guess I might just buy one and find out in a month or so.

        • I have one of these.
Even allowing for the slight load applied, not very accurate, but it's okay.

Assuming that because it has a separate (and specific) 9 volt input that it will read lithiums via the 1.5 terminals is silly.

I remember reading in reviews at the time I bought mine about a year ago of somebody whinging about having buggered their unit by testing a lithium coin cell in it.

Test any lithiums with it at your own risk. It will not physically accommodate even an unprotected 18650, button or flat-top.

        • Thanks for the info. I'm glad the coupon had expired and I didn't order one.

I'd really love something like this for measuring 18*** li-ions though.

  • Code used up :(

"oops, you miss the chance; the code was used up."

  • Same here, code's expired.

  • the code must be only 10 available! not gonna buy from them anymore!! :-(

    • Hi, the code is used more than 100 times until it is used up or the deal can't get 30 vote. The battery tester is hot in our site; you can pay attention to it to get a low price!

  • Anyone receive their order ?

  • Received mine today DOA. Maybe needs new batteries.
