  how do you guys actually use the credit that's on the account? last time i was in the cab and couldn't figure out how to use the voucher. does it automatically apply at the end of the journey?

    Yes, tell the driver you will pay via the App and it will automatically debit any credit you have.
    I just used $13 of the $15 credit I had today for a short trip.

  note that in vic, normally without promos such as this, there's no longer any financial benefit of using gocatch as credit card surcharges are now limited to 5%

  I've used gocatch twice now. Both times the driver charged more than the metered fare, I presume a booking fee ($2.50), which isn't advertised. Where I live it's really easy to hail a cab, so with the 'booking' fee, the 7% surcharge, and having to wait longer for the cab using the app, I just don't find there's any advantage to me using this service. What's the point in getting $5 credit if half of that is a booking fee?
