Why is it a bargain?
Vitasoy : So Milky Regular Long Life Soy Milk @ $2.52 per 1L
http://shop.coles.com.au/online/mobile/national/vitasoy-so-m…na. this is different… not comparable.
this cafe soy not regularStill, its pretty pricey. Is it even a sale price or just regular? Never bought the café version, and only ever bought Vitasoy when it was 50% off.
Please put store in title
depending where you buy it you will pay up to $5.00. I always buy it from Staples as they're the cheapest. Last time I paid $3.30 today I paid $2.89. It's a special blend of soy milk, Cafe Blend. It's specially blended for coffee. It goes up against bonsoy.
Today I bought 60 litres!
I don't think this compares at all with bonsoy. Nor do most other soy drinkers I've spoken with about it.
Not sure why so many cafes use this stuff if it's that expensive; sounds like good marketing to me.
vitasoy = australian, bonsoy = japanese :)
Any chance you know where to get Bonsoy for cheap? I dont mind buying in wholesale lots given it keeps for long
If you're friendly with your cafe / barista you can ask them to help out on the side. I think they get it for a bit over $3 so you can give them a bit more to make it worth their while and they should be happy to oblige if they respect your custom.
Just a small protest that this is milk.
Milk comes from a mammal.
Really speaking this is bean juice.Um… not really. "Milk" has the same roots as "emulsion." So anything of that order can be milk.
Lactational fluids come from mammals.
milk is technically only from animals not plants :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MilkConveniently overlooked the first line in the quoted article?:
"This article is about the fluid produced by the mammary glands of mammals. For milk derived from plants, see Plant milk. For other uses of the word, see Milk (disambiguation)."
Not really sure how this is a deal…
I will snap it up feverously should it ever wish to come down to 1.50, But I rather test [Bulla Cookies & Cream] this weeks Coles down to $2.5/L(vs eg connoisseur).
The fancy bean drink would have to be 90%water in any event.I tried this milk. It is crap. It's called Cafe milk for baristas, but it doesn't froth when I put it through the frother.
not even sure why even bother with using anything other than full cream milk in your coffee flavoured milk drinks.
lactose intollerant
also flavour is different with soy and higher protein and less fat
Love this soy milk. Will walk a lot further in the CBD to cafe's that have this Soy Milk, when I do my daily coffee. Yes, I'm a coffee snob. I've previously bought this from Staples as well, as it's the only Soy I stock at home. But I do actually prefer a good Almond milk. But Cafe's don't generally cater for that… yet.
sounds pricey
