…Cobram?
Cobram Estate olive oil rocks, I find that Aussie olive oil is normally the best taste.
Last time when one of these deals came around, I went out to get some. But the label states that it should be consumed within 3 month of opening. Didn't realise olive oil will go off that fast if exposed to air. So stuck with the smaller bottles….
Extra virgin goes rancid really quickly. It also is not good for cooking with with (unless you like acrylamide) makes a 4L tin of it pretty useless.
Meh. Europeans have been using it for cooking and food preparation for centuries without problems. There are far better (safer health wise) oils for frying if that's your intention. We buy the 4l tins and have never had it go rancid. Maybe it depends on where you live and where you keep it. Someone posted a while back on a similar deal that Moro and Carbonell both came out poorly in a blind taste test.
Anyone tried the Aldi 3l Australian Extra Virgin ($17 normal price)? Only marginally dearer than these specials, and an Australian product.
Which came out best in the blind test you are referring to?
isnt it this price on special all year round. otherwise go to your local italian deli which have italian oil for around this price all the time.
best deal was when cobrane estate was half price, i loaded up :-)
