Referrer gets $300-$500 once referee completes at least 30-40 deliveries.

from my understanding, its just credit on your account. And will deduct the trip cost from that credit
Would UBER works with airport pickup? I imagine it would be pretty difficult.

Basically you register using your phone number. When you book, you use the iPhone or Android app, which uses the GPS feature to find your location. After you confirm booking via app, you'll get a text message within i think 5 - 10 min to let you know your taxi is on its way.
I'm with nospirit - confused as to how you can book an uber cab for airport pickup. Where do they physically pick you up from, the public pickup area?

The $20 credit via link when you register doesn't expire.

Just signed up, tempted to try this when in Johannesburg next month to get to hotel, either way quote price is around 40aussie (R231-307).

for some reason, even after using referral code it says my account only has $20 (the futuresyd promo)

Love Uber so far in Sydney. Works perfect to get a Uber from Central station to Airport for my last trip. Charge about $45. Save all rip off fees for Domestic and International Airport station.
Open 2 different account you can a cheap return trip on road to airport.
The Uber referral page doesn't seem to work.
The earlier ones work (eg, by EasternCulture, etc). But the later ones point to a corrupt Uber page that does not allow you to enter the correct information
