  • NB This is model with special offers (ads)

Can be removed with live chat to Amazon.

  • Not much of a deal when this is one with ads.

Next gen local stock was on sale for 139, 142, 148, 149 etc, check previous deals.

    • I picked up the 2nd gen one from David Jones for $155… and they even sent me the 3G version. Score!

iPad for reading compared to e-ink? You really have no idea what you are talking about.

        • Ok. So this guy hasn't heard about the kindle paper white, as he lists one of eink's main(only?) disadvantage as having no back light.

Also, I don't agree what he's saying about refresh rates.

        • He also doesn't care much for battery life it seems.

    Currently:

    $175.29 shipped from Amazon
    $179.00 at Dick Smith
    $178.00 at Big W

So this is a saving of $34+ .. but it's the one with advertising which is $20 in the USA so it's about $14 cheaper if there could be a proper comparison.

I'm holding out on BigW or DSE reducing it again.

    • $159 at Target. For $18, I'd take no shipping, no hassles with warranty and no waiting for delivery.

(if I didnt already have two of them)

Buyer beware with DWI, huge thread on WP, mixed reviews & experiences.

    Reason I went genuine Amazon….

  • 119USD without ads

  • Huh ? The link still shows US$119 with ads US$139 without. It also says the "without ads" is only available to the US
where is the $20 off ??

I ordered one of these 8 days ago, chased it last night and Amazon said "sorry lost in postage - refund or replace ?" which I chose replace. I'd like to hit them up for a $20 discount to match this deal

    • Reckon it must have passed midnight in US so "today only" has gone….

      • after some haggling on their chat, they've refunded me $20….as I was on the chat I found their price match policy only applies to TV's & "cellphones"
