Apparently this is the same as plastidip, but less colours and bigger can.

For doing a whole car you wouldn't use these cans. It would come out crap and it'd be expensive, there are proper applicators for doing that.
I need to redo some interior parts in my car the cans are good for this.
Dipyourcar (who sell plastidip) did a comparison of plastidip and this stuff.. they concluded its more or less in the same product in a different can: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ne3edUf_xXI
cool, thanks daveaus
actually is there anything you can use to reduce scratches to a car (not completely of cos but just to reduce the impact, from parking rubbing against a wall or something?
You can probably do a car with 2-3 cans for a small to medium sized car. Really easy to use and the finish smooths itself out to remove runs.
You would need alot more then 2-3 can's. I used 2 can's to do 4 17" wheels.
See link here for estimate of cans required based on 3-4 coats average: http://www.aacustomshield.com/how-much-product-do-i-need/
For a small car 6-8 cans is plenty. Once you became efficient with the product you could probably do it in 5-6 cans, but as mentioned below you can get thinnable quantities in a paint tin can which may work out cheaper or the whole car.
It can be bought in thinable quantities for use in a spray gun to do a whole car (from autobahn in Aus i believe).
Lots of youtube vids showing plastidip in action from badges to whole cars, particularly int he US where its MUCH cheaper to buy.
This stuff is good. I used 1 can to do 4 wheels with 5 coats 2 months ago and they are showing no signs of age!
At $20 its a no brainer!!
No chips and/or scratches? Is it easy to remove?
Nope, nothing at all. Its easy enough to remove, however not too easy that it wil lcome off if you don't want it to.
I found 5 coats was plenty for a wheel.
The finish is a little rough, but overall it is quite a good product!
EBC Liquid Wrap is an Australian alternative to Plasti Dip..
Worth looking at if you're in the market for this kinda stuff.
Can use this stuff to fix scratches on your fridge and washing machine too.
Will this make my car Bulletproof?
nothing can make an Excel bulletproof!
Amour plates?
Thanks OP, grabbing a couple cans of clear to protect front and bonnet from stone chips and bugs - long road trip coming up.
Did anyone notice this disclaimer:
- Scientifically formulated to resist the weather and elements for up to 3 months.
It appears on the side of the packaging.
Anyone know if Plasti dip has a similar disclaimer?
This was discussed when plastidip was on sale… The consensus being they are identical.
Damn you ozbargain! Was toying with the idea of plasti-dipping my bike fairings and now this comes along…
Do it man, would be sick! Take them off and do it though! (Or be sure to mask EVERYTHING you don't want painted..)
Sorry for the noob questions… so would this actually change the color of your car? and wouldnt need like 100s of these to spray the whole car?
