This is processed crap. The real bertocchi bacon doesn't come pre sliced and isn't slimey. woolworths buys this crap for $4 for 2 kg. The real bertocchi bacon comes in a large piece and is only about $12 a kg from a good continental deli
i ate the $4.99/kg budget bacon at Aldi and to my surprise, it was tasty.

Title is wrong as not all stores carry Bertocchi bacon. Mine has Primo. Price will still be universal though.
Also middle bacon and shortcut are two different types.
Shortcut ironically doesnt mean you are short changed, it means you get less fat…

Don't buy primo it's the worst bacon around. It's dirt cheap but crap. Same with KRC. Krc = castlemain

Multinational business. I still complain that I find it hard to get AU produced bacon in Woolworths and Coles.
Got some bacon from Casa Iberica http://casaibericadeli.com.au/ (Johnston St Collingwood) last week - no bargain but de'f'n'licious.
Don is still great but hard to find because it's still $29 a kg.
When woolworths is buy primo for $4.60 and krc a box wouldn't that say something?Bertocchi full price $12 a kg but it's a totally different product than what woolworths and coles buy.so I assume it would be around the $5 a box mark too. I'll get the gf to get the cost price today. Be prepared to be amazed :)
then again we worked out they're buying 8 chickens for $10 from golden farms and reselling for $10.50 each after cooking them.
