    • I looked at that one for a while but the shaft is alloy, not steel, and the gauge is at the bottom so harder to read. Also the hose length is shorter. The reviews for the GIYO pump are much better.

  • how does this one compare ? worth the extra $5?

Hmm, not sure as I don't own either but it seems you're paying for a lot of 'bling' on that one like the polished finish and the timber handle when the cheaper one above seems to be a lot more practical, better built and has the gauge mounted up high.

I'm just about ready to drop my $33.99 on the featured one as I've been looking for a good quality & practical floor pump for a while now but refuse to pay the $80+ for all the wanky ones as I can't see any benefit. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Given that its only $5 more, I went with the Route 7 pump, I like the Giyo for having the gauge on top, but Route 7 has a red pointer in the dial that you can rotate to the desired PSI reading, so it should be easy to read as well.

Giyo is steel, Route 7 is alloy.

I think both will work the same, but preferred the Route 7 since it had two separate heads, instead of a combined universal head. Both have good reviews.

Yeah, good point about the separate heads but yeah, I've just purchased the GIYO as although I'm only a casual rider I'd prefer the pump to last 10+ years (20 would be better!) and be 100% reliable throughout its usable life.

I'll report back here with my findings… in 20 years time ;)

  • Have one, bought 5 years ago, it's holding up well. Everyone with a bike should buy a floor pump.

Looks like the $10 OFF code I found seems to be generic so should work for everyone: https://www.torpedo7.com.au/content/landing_page.html?gclid=…

Willl list this as a separate deal…

    • Nice one - works, albeit you have to spend $50 excluding postage.

  • how about this one: http://www.jetblackproducts.com/products/JBP-1202 ,rebel sport selling at $24.99. JB Xair Floor Pump: High Pressure Steel Barrel Floor Pump, Twin head presta and schrader, Base mounted gauge and 160 PSI max pressure

  • Can I attach a needle to this to fill balls with air?

  • Thought I'd report back…

Received my GIYO today and I'm pretty impressed with it. Very strong, well designed & well made but I suppose only time will tell.
