agree. patiently waiting for the next one.
Good call on the waiting, just posted this deal:
10% Off Apple Computers at JB Hi-Fi until Sunday
The Good Guys currently have 10% off macs.
Also, if you are a student (or a parent of a student) Apple are offering a $100 App store gift card with a mac purchase - so you get the student discount price and the app store gift card if you qualify:
http://store.apple.com/au/browse/campaigns/back_to_school
Is that an in store deal? I cant see it on their website.
thanks for the info. will check TGG deal.
so.. just to clarify, you can get Apple Store (does that also include resellers?) to price match and then get the $100 gift card, is that correct? price match can only be done in-store, right?
Yep, note my experience below.
no educational discount and/or gift card?
As far as I'm aware, I'm not eligible for such.
Thinking of getting a refurb 2012 MacBook Air 13.3" ($928) for the muncan 10 year aluminium anniversary. Would I be better of grabbing a newer model from a store?
e.g. Myer's equivalent model is $221 more, but appears to have a lesser CPU?
From what I've read, the best thing going for the current model is increased battery power. Meh.
Update: I bought the current model 13.3" from an Apple store for $1125, price matching The Goodguys $1115 (+$10 because they can't go past 10% discount).
If you want a 13" MacBook Air right now, it looks like TTG is the place to go. Shudder…
Thanks OP + seejay80.
You can regularly get 10% off so nothing special.
