    16 Plus

    Full figured ?

    • New normal. 24 is full figured these days.

  • I did a quick check and there appears to be some of these which have HDMI 1.4 which appear to be integrated graphics version and some with full HDMI 2.1 which are more expensive and use NVidia graphics.

I've been very wary around Inspirons since I brought one which couldn't drive a 4K screen natively, I needed to do this via USB 3.0 adapter to HDMI.

    DYOR if that's your use-case

    • eh, it's been quite sometime since integrated gpu can drive 4k? maybe i'm missing something here

      • My 1340p nuc drives 4k 60hz with Arc integrated. It's a Dell issue with their lower end where they cut corners - had same CPU as inspiron in a hp and no issue. Again dyor

    • some of these which have HDMI 1.4 which appear to be integrated graphics version and some with full HDMI 2.1

This doesn't matter, the Thunderbolt 4 port can drive a 4K screen instead. You don't need to use the HDMI output at all.

      which couldn't drive a 4K screen natively

This is extremely rare, and is limited to laptops that have a gimped HDMI port and no better outputs like Display Port or USB C.

It's a Dell issue with their lower end where they cut corners

That's why Inspirons are their low end - they're supposed to cut corners.

  • i'd love osmething like this but at at 13" so i can carry it around easier.

      Do you even lift bro?

        I can't advise that

Grabbed one for a parent, thanks OP!

  • Double check camera specifications are OK if you wish to use Windows Hello Face. Windows was happy with my first Inspiron, but not happy with my second.

  • 16GB…

18.2mm width, while we're all throwing it's specs around 🤷

  • 1x DC-in ? Never seen that before, but tbh hadn't been looking for it either.

Interested, what would be the use case for a DC power input?

    • +4

Charging it with an old school charger. Every laptop had one before USB-C became a thing.

      • +1

It’s strange that it comes with a USB-C charger only but keeps the DC power port

        • HP has done that to some of their laptops too until dropping them in the recent two/three years.

  • 16GB LPDDR5x-6400MT/s (soldered), dual-channel, not upgradable , sad part of this laptop

  • Keep in mind soldered RAM means you bin the whole main board if one of the RAM chips is faulty.
