Free buses from Central Station (Stand D) to UNSW (The University of New South Wales) on 3rd January 2014 for UNSW Info Day.
Not sure exactly what time the buses run from and til, but I'm guessing from 9am-4pm (as those are the Info Day's hours). Also, there will probably be free buses back to Central.

Those buses can go to hell. I had to travel to UNSW the other day, and decided I'd go by public transport. Cost me more than $15 for a bus and train ride there and back.. I might as well have driven.
I have no idea how international students especially are able to deal with it, given that they have to pay the full adult fare, and have to go there several days a week.
They live close to campus.
actually as of very recently they also get student prices. but yes, i feel your pain. lived in the Hills District up north, and did a degree at unsw. Fares killed me, and driving was worse ($20 in tolls each way, just to fight for parking? no thanks.)

Buses start from 8:30. Please don't take the buses if you're not going to Info Day; it will be a nightmare considering the logistics of UNSW Open Day.
the whole point of info day is for those people still unsure what they want to do in uni. Since people already have their atars, its more like a chance to see what avenues they can take if they didnt make the cutoff(i.e this is the last day they will interview people to gain entry into courses) or still have no idea what to enrol into. there isnt going to be any free food/stuff on this day.
Errr? I'm going to Info Day for the exact reason you have mentioned.
