Amaysim 30% off Unlimited for Existing Unlimited Customers ($28 Instead of $40). Ends 16/1/2014

110

Not sure if its targeted on not, but just logged into my amaysim account to find the following promotion message under Balance remaining section

Promotion - 30% Off amaysim UNLIMITED will be applied
Valid to: 16 Jan 2014

Seems to be for existing unlimited subscribers as my other PAYG account does not have the promo message.

What i did was changed my Unlimited plan to PAYG 1 day before it expired. Then after it expired by one day, the promo message appeared.

Let me know if you find this message in your account or not.

I was hoping they'd do the $15 off the 10GB data pack again this year but no sign of it.

I've got a few more days before my 10gig expires and I still haven't seen a discount on the pack :-( guess I'll just have to bite the bullet…

      • When mine expired I still had near 7 gigs left, obviously not a heavy data user but doing the math, it was still cheaper to get the 10GB pack and lose the 7 gigs than it would have been to do it any other way they offer.

I did live chat them and ask if anything could be done as I didn't know how much I was going to use when I signed up and it was a big disappointment to see so much go to waste. Initially I was told yes, can extend by another year (woohoo!) but after they looked a bit more, they came back with a no and an apology.

Wish they did a cheap low data amount per month, say 500MB for $5 or so or made the 1GB last 3 months instead of just 1.

        • The expired TPG $1 for 50MB deal might have been good for you ($60 for 3GB).

    • Just renewed mine the other day at full price. I tried post-pay for a fortnight and ran up a $7 bill. Figured I'm still better off paying full price for the 10GB data pack. If you average less than 6MB/day, then you might get away paying less @ 5c/MB post-pay.

  • In my Amaysim account it shows that I will get additional 1GB of Data during festive season and no mention of anything else like 30% discount.

  • Looks like a targeted offer as my Amaysim page makes no mention of this offer. If Amaysim don't come out with a decent offer in the next three days, im off to Telechoice's (Telstra) KM Global Liberty Leader Plan http://www.telechoice.com.au/kogan-offers as mentioned here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/127233?page=1#comment

    Finally something for existing users.

  • Indeed. For the benefit of anyone at Amaysim who may be reading this (I presume you have 'Google Alerts'), I still have an active account. The only way I'll be buying another 10GB pack in any foreseeable future is by way of a discount.

If you do decide to offer one, kindly don't make me go out of my way to buy a bloody voucher. Thanks.

It seems the Amaysim gods can hear us…. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/128456

      • Not hearing me - at least it would seem that way at first glance.
That pack offer appears to be just for new sign-ups/pack buyers. No use to me.

        • Yeah me either. They're listening, but not hearing us.
          Rabble, rabble, rabble.

  • I changed from unlimited to PAYG about two weeks ago after paying unlimited for about 12-15 months in a row. They sent me "Promotion - 30% Off amaysim FLEXI will be applied". Which is ANNOYING because I want to go back to unlimited after PAYG not flexi, but unlimited is still overpriced IMO and should be $30-35 a month for the value you get out of it.

You know what,… i am deleting my comment cause i don't need the crap that is most likely to follow its posting

  • Is this for all future months or just for the first month?

    • If the world ends at the end of your plan month, then yes, this deal is for all future months…
If you are a new signup, this deal will save you more, but will not give you any greater hope for your phone plan future, not as it relates to $28 ongoing, anyway…

  • Spoke to a customer rep, and he said that this is only for customers who have left them recently, and they want to get them back with this. Did it come with a promo code?
