This fare does not include taxes. No travel period specified either. A quick check of some dates shows that the fare is approx $780 with taxes. Cheaper fares available on full service airlines and much cheaper with Air Asia. Sorry but no bargain.

  Interesting. Thought it was illegal to advertise fares exclusive of tax in Australia. Msia could get in big trouble.

    I think that only applies to domestic flights. But I agree the Government should make it mandatory for international fares to include taxes as well.

It's probably worth noting that Malaysian Airlines is only one of six Skytrax 5-star airlines in the world (http://www.airlinequality.com/StarRanking/5star.htm). So if you're quality-conscious as well as value-conscious, then it's not such a bad deal.
