Stumbled across these still working black friday deals and welcome back VPN deals. 1900 day retention
https://www.thundernews.com/welcomeback.php for VPN Deals. VPN and News servers FAST by all reports.
VPN+10GB deal is ironically half the price of the VPN alone direct from OctaneVPN

Weirdly the Black friday link says 2010, but adds to cart fine and thousands of deals left. Different deals to previously posted black friday sale (now expired) so not Dup (I checked lol)
Enjoy, I know I love my $5/m 10G+VPN plan, havent had any hassles
OctaneVPN have a great windows client that makes switching servir just a couple of clicks.
Thundernews also apparently offer free use of newsrover software http://www.thundernews.com/blog/free-newsrover-newsreader-so… http://www.newsrover.com/

Just noticed that despite being marked expired there are still a few $5/m unlimited usenet deals and $24/3m unlimited usenet and VPN deals on the other deal posted http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/124829

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2013

  • Just want to clarify the pricing from a few of their promos:

    Price Usenet GB VPN GB
    $9.99 Unlimited Unlimited
    $7.99 100Gb Unlimited
    $5.99 Unlimited N/A
    $5.00 75Gb N/A
    $4.99 10Gb Unlimited
    $4.99 Unlimited N/A

FWIW; I've had Thundernews since the 2010 Black Friday sales and it has been great.
They throttle after 1Tb per month (They were clear an upfront about that to me, but others have had a bad experience here)
Adult content is not allowed when paying by … errrr, one of the payment methods. Do a net search before paying by CC or paypal.

Yep, its credit card for me ;)
And thanks muchly for the nice clear chart :)

Bit puzzled as to what the neg is for? I dont like a payment provider dictating my use of a service, I find it offensive and do not want to reward them for it.
Or is it because i didn't go through the pain of making a table when I was hurting mysewlf to put up the deal for you? Please do enlighten me :)

  • After seeing the new VPN deals it is apparent that I'm more suitable for the 70gb usenet/vpn access plan, but I signed up to the unlimited usenet plan yesterday. Is there a way of transferring your account plan without having to cancel then reorder (thereby incurring a $5.50 loss)?

    • I dont know to be honest, you could wear the $5 loss of the one month which would be cheaper than the $5.50 I suppose? But, there is no 70GB+VPN plan, there is 10G, 100G and unlimited (monthly or quarterly) plans with VPN as far as I can tell?.
I went with the 10GB because it was the cheapest way to get a VPN of that quality and number of servers, have barely used the news.
I suppose you could just ask them nicely to do you a thanksgiving favour?
