I can recommend the show. Went with the wife 2 weeks ago and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
I encourage everyone to go see this if you can. My partner and I went when the show was in Perth and it was truly fantastic. When booking tickets if at all possible make sure you're not sitting behind one of the tent poles, you can see them on the stadium diagram.
I'm interested in this but I'm not sure if the seats @$50 will be able to see much. Wouldn't you be looking at things side-on most of the time?
In previous years I've had VIP Tapis Rouge seats (Right at the front), Reserve A on the front and sides and seats near the $50 ones. To be honest, the seats on the side are not bad at all. It doesn't really matter where you sit really because its still going to be amazing. Of course the front is the best but for price/value side isn't bad. But yeah, try to get a clear view and not near the tent/light poles as archiver mentioned.

I just went the other night. Bought one of the previous $50 specials. The tent is not so big that you aren't going to see and so you're not going to miss a thing! Don't panic if you don't get seats together, because you won't be talking much, your mouth will be wide open in amazement:)
