  • No 5. The Offer is not available for a Nespresso machine sold in conjunction with any other special offer or promotion

So I wonder if one will be able to claim…

  • What is the difference between this and the delonghi new u except for without the milk frother?

  • hi guys,
how do i apply the discount code twice? thanks.

    • Just enter one code in the promotion code field and press enter and then enter the second code in the same field and press enter again.

dear ozbargainers.. whats the best deal on a unit with frother?
    i like my coffee americano

    • +2

Then you'd be adding hot water, not milk.

    • i like my coffee americano

so out of a 1 litre bucket?

    • No need to buy their milk frother, the IKEA $3 one will do the job.

    • If u drink much and insist nespresso capsules, I was told new member welcome offer u get a free milk frother if you buy 500 capsule pack. So buy this and get the 500 capsule pack then get the free milk frother.

      • Can you link to more info? I can't find anything about this on the official nespresso webpage or from a quick google search.

        • I walked into the nespresso store the lady served me said that. Should be nation wide. Just ask them when you are there.

      • thanks for the tip.
however the main issue with these pods are freshness.. a 500 pack would take me around 1yr to consume

        • +1

was also told they have 1 year shelf life.

    • IMO the easiest way to froth milk is with a cheap coffee maker or plunger attachment (french press) or milk frother. Bit of milk, 40 seconds in the microwave, pump it and there you go. Plus easy to clean.

something like http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/80241388/ (thanks for the ikea link above superforever)

  • Any idea on how long this offer will last for?

  • NOTE: Cashback is only available to those who purchase as of tomorrow (01/11)!

Receive $60 cashback via redemption from Nespresso between 1 November 2013 and 12 January 2014.

  • +2

Just a note that Nespresso are now honouring the cashback for today's purchases. Website currently being updated!

    • Hey rep - I just bought one online, then scrolled down afterwards to see it starts tomorrow! I've looked on the website and cannot see any updates that it now starts from the 31 Oct - can u please post the link so i can include it with my claim? Thank you :)

      • Go to the DJ listing page and click on the link next to the second ribbon where it says "Cashback offer for BEC300W Nespresso U Solo - Pure White available via redemption from 31st October."

        • +1

Thanks Unity! I just found it now. still a bit worried this is just a DJ's posting only, nothing seems to have been updated on the actual Nespresso page - the guys actually processing the cash-back…

        • +1

Yeah, I am still a bit worried too as this page still says 1st November:
          https://www.nespressopromotion.com.au/cashback/terms

        • Seems to happen from time just like it did in this shaver deal from Myer http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/114972 where they make exceptions for certain stores. Hopefully the REP can confirm one way or the other.

    • Rep, can u please provide evidence that Nespresso are honouring from today - a link to their website or something similar? Otherwise will need to return the purchase today…thanks :)

Cashback offer for BEC300W Nespresso U Solo - Pure White available via redemption from 31st October.

  • I'm not a huge fan of these touch button U machines. These machines automatically pump water through (at the most commonly used volume) after you close the capsule lid. So if you're not ready then you'll get coffee on the table or into the drip tray.

  • +3

Are they really honouring cash back if purchased today?

When I called DJ's online sales they said I need to wait until tomorrow to order to get cash back…. seems confusing to me!

  • +1

Such a shame that David Jones still hasn't clarified this because today is the last day of Amex promotion of 5 extra points per dollar.

    • +1

The response I received from online sales is that the cashback commences today for this model. ezza received a different response. May be we need a third opinion 1800 354 663

      • +1

Called them about 2 hours ago and the lady on the phone was not sure. She said she was going to check it with Nespresso and get back to me but I haven't received a call back.

        • So we have yes, no and maybe. Please let us know when you find out.

        • Third and final yes - please see below!

        • -1

Thinking I take my chances and hold out until tomorrow. Then again nespresso have got customer relations and didn't honour my last cash back as I was out a few days but they gave me 1/2 the value in pods… Still good I suppose.
But may hold out to know it's definitely valid.
If this is sold out then I go with the bing lee machine instead

  • What's the difference with the DeLonghi one ?? http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/121297#comment-1664829

  • +4

ok - spoke to DJ's customer service - Alana - the customer service manager 100% confirmed that all our purchases today will be honoured by Nespresso.

Nespresso "have tried to change the online form" but it will take overnight to do that. I'm getting this in writing from DJ's as well.

BUY AWAY - check and print the form tomorrow, hopefully it will be updated to say 31st but they say still submit it even if it's not.

I asked DJ's to put detailed notes on my purchase, and they said if anything was to go wrong they would give me $60 themselves!

    • And take a screenshot of the page as further evidence :)

      • +1

Good work. They told me they could get someone from Nespresso to call me and confirm but I told the CSR that I trust her.

        • +1

Good work to you for finding this deal! You've helped me out :) Thanks Unity

        • +1

          Glad to help.

    • +1

      Nice work mangosss. Cheers.

  • Are any capsules included in this purchase? Other models come with 16 capsules in the box. Just wondering if this is the case with this model. Salesperson I spoke to recently said the sample capsules help you decide which to buy after purchase depending on your faves.

    • +2

yes. Here http://www.breville.com.au/media/mediaappearance/13872/BEC30… pg 5 "packaging content - Nespresso capsules Grand Crus tasting gift".
Any of you considering this or the Delonghi from Bing Lee for $159? It is an extra $15 for the Delonghi because of the DJ "welcome" & "treatme5" code? They look almost the same not sure which one to get.

      • Can't lose on spending only $84 for the Breville. Also receive the bonus 5 points per dollar via the DJ amex promotion, so 7 points per dollar spent. Machines come with 2 year warranty, so no problems if the machine fails. Worth trying on that basis. I was looking at the Nespresso Pixies last week in store & both companies machines are identical on almost every aspect. Whoever does actually produce them appears to make the machine for both companies from my impression.

  • I'm between this one and DeLonghi - Price difference is $15 . DeLonghi comes with a welcome pack. Both seem to be very similar except for the colour. Cannot find any review / differences.

    • +1

Breville comes with welcome pack too. see my link above.

    • I don't really like the white colour (not really look pure white). Delonghi looks cool.

      • Just went to Binglee to check out the colour the white on a real one looks a lot better than the photo.

  • any idea where to pick up a bargain milk frother?
i'm not sold on the $3 ikea whizzy tool thing… this is going to be a gift and that $3 thing looks quite cheap.

    • +1

What about the Aldi one for $28?

      • Now that's an idea! Is this any good though?

        • I've been using it and pretty happy with it.

  • For anyone that purchased yesterday the online claim form allows you to choose the purchase date as being 31/10/13. It's easier to claim online too.

  • eeekkkkksss can't order for online delivery… only store pick up!
meaning discount codes do not work :(

    • The codes also work for click and collect

      • nah it doesn't once entered, it reduces it down to $144, then you pick a store and then next screen shows $159 again without an option to re-enter the codes

        • never mind for some reason its back in stock again online so i ordered off there!!

  • back in stock for delivery now too

  • +1

Hey Unity 1! Just got one for my family! Thanks heaps.

  • Picked mine up today, comes with starter pack (16 pods).

  • I visited David Jones on Market St today, & their stores are selling all small electrical at 20% until Nov 3 for DJ cardholders. So cardholders can buy any Nespresso machine at 20% off during this promotion, not just the U model. For those wanting the aeroccino, which does not come with this priced deal, you get one for free if you buy the 250 capsule welcome pack from the Nespresso store. Staff at the Westfield Pitt St Nespresso store showed me this deal today. You pay $179 for 250 capsules, & can choose either an aeroccino+ model machine or a capsule tower as your bonus gift. For some reason this deal isn't shown on their website, but is on display in store. This deal is only available for new customers for their first order. If you are happy to buy the 250 capsules offered in the pack (it is a fixed selection) the bonus aeroccino+ makes it a good buy.

    • Include this one already reduced price?

      • I think its 20% off full priced items only

    • Hmmm this deal for the machine + 250 pods and milk frother sounds sweet might need to get this deal at nespresso tomorrow!

      • ps…. can't buy 250 pod sample pack if you have purchased 3 times from nespresso whether it be online or in store… just an FYI for others!

        • That's odd, I went to the Nespresso store in Doncaster and asked if I was allowed to buy the 250 sample pack if I'd already bought it with the welcome offer the first time and they said yes it's not just a welcome offer anymore.
I guess I haven't tried 3 times with my account yet though.

  • Got mine delivered this morning (Melb).

  • Received my cashback cheque yesterday. Very efficient.
